I want to get his attention and talk to him, but I’m too shy and nervous. How do I talk to him?

I really like this guy but I have always been shy my entire life. I have come out of my shyness quite a bit, but when it comes to him I just can’t bring myself to speak to him or even make eye contact. I’m scared of rejection. I just want to talk to him but am unsure how to or what to say. Please help.

It’s really not an excuse. I have been shy my entire life due to anxiety. Everyone used to think I was mute. It stems from anxiety, and not excuses.

Okay, not trying to sound callous here, but no one cares about that. All they see is you not talking, not interacting and they move on.
I wish girls could experience just a fraction of the rejection guys do. You really have no idea..

Well how do I speak to him? I don’t want him to think I hate him or anything because that’s not the case. I just don’t know how to talk to him. How do guys like to be approached? Like I don’t want him to feel bad. Because the last time I spoke to him he even invited me to eat with him and his friends at church. I don’t know if maybe he wants me to talk to him or he was just being nice. I don’t want to hurt him but I also have this fear he doesn’t even like me. Lolll

Never said women don't face ANY rejection. But if you want to compare the amount of rejection guys face to what girls face, it's apples and oranges.
Also, how much time would you invest trying to talk to a guy who was too shy to even hold a conversation? It's not about 'caring about her anxiety'

he talks to others fine and he talked to me fine before this flirting started. where as i am generally quite shy anyway, i struggle speaking the best of times which he already knows
