Why is he mirroring my behaviour on social media?

So there is this guy I dated. He dumped me for ridiculous reasons & now he keeps on liking and replying to my stories (which he hasn’t really done while we were dating)

He is a very active guy on social media, with a great following. That’s why I know that social media is important to him, because that’s a way of communicating with the world for him.

The last few weeks I stopped being that active, I haven’t posted anything for a while & went inactive for some time.

Suddenly he started doing the same. This is very odd, because there isn’t a day that goes by without a bunch of insta stories from him.

Would a guy mirror this sort of behaviour to get my attention or seem more familiar to me?

Yo that's kinda weird that he's mimicking your social media activity like that. Sounds like maybe he's still tryna keep tabs on you or get your attention.

Guys can be dumb sometimes, we don't always know how to handle rejection or a breakup. Maybe he's hoping that by acting similar to you online you'll notice and start talking to him again.

Or it could be that creeping on your profile made him realise how little he posts compared to before, and now he's overcompensating. Who knows with dudes haha.

Either way I wouldn't read too much into it if I were you. He dumped you after all, so obviously it didn't work out. If he wants you back he needs to grow a pair and use his words, not play these silly mirroring games.

I'd just ignore it personally. Don't give him the satisfaction of thinking his lame tactics are working. Soon he'll get bored and move on. You're better than being obsessed over by some ex!

This is NOT communicating. Social media is a complete waste of time.
