I think most normal dudes would try to have at least a little conversation first before outright complimenting someone's looks and asking for their number right away. It comes across too strong. If a guy feels the need to comment on your appearance that fast, it probably means looks are all he's focused on. At least all he got was your name and number, you didn't actually go on a date or anything yet. And you live and learn, now you know what kind of warning signs to look out for in the future so you feel safer.

It might be a good idea to text him and politely say you're not interested in meeting. Make up an excuse if you want like you just got in a relationship or something. No need to explain yourself, just keep it brief.

And if he keeps pushing after that, don't reply and just block his number - you don't owe some random dude you conversation. You handled it how you could in the moment, so don't beat yourself up. At least now you've got more experience for next time something similar happens. You'll be alright!

You might be right. But on the other hand, I can remember times when I saw beautiful girl, or heard her voice, or heard her laughing, on a bus or a train, or a few seats away in a theater, and felt like, I can sit here like a dignified person and let her walk out of my life forever, or I can take a chance. Well, I never had the guts to take that chance. But some guys might feel that it's worth being humiliated if the girl wants nothing to do with me, but maybe she won't be that way. Maybe this guy thought, "She's so pretty, and I feel like I've just GOT to take the chance I might get to know her." You have to decide. If he seems nice and normal, maybe give him a chance.
