Why would he want me to do it and not her?

While at work he came to her and told her he wanted me to do something for him she offered to do it but he kept insisting I do it. He wanted to show me but the other girl told him just show me, but he didn't want her he wanted me. It really didn't matter who did it just as long as it got done. And it was something so simple which made it kind of bizarre. She even kind of gave me the side eye and even I thought it was a bit strange that he wanted me to do it instead of her.

Looks like this guy has something against you personally. If he insists that someone else tells you how to do something when he could have come to you directly to ask to do it, then there are 2 possible reasons why he is acting that way.

1. He wants as little contact with you as possible (for whatever reason) or

2. He wants to show that he is in a position to command, order or boss others around.

Personally, I would go for #1. Apparently, there must have been something that upset him or you did something to make him want to get back at you and rather than to tell you directly to do something, he needed the intermediary.
