Why is my fiance mad when I ask him about a girl he messaged?

I saw he messaged a model who is a girl he didn't know on Facebook, we were sitting beside eachother looking on his facebook for a phone number, its not like i actually went through his phone or computer, i dont even know his passwords to things... it was an innocent text he was offering her his truck for a photoshoot, but didn't bother to run it by me... she posted on a car group she needed cars... (i know he's not a cheater) but when I asked him about her he played stupid and said wait who's madison? then I said how do you not know you messaged her... but he got mad by me asking and said "who cares", "do you not trust me?", "why do you even need to know who I messaged?" , "here, go through my phone" (I refused to look) , "why are you being so jealous". "Why? should I have to tell you when I message a girl?" "Let it go"

Is this a normal response? (Please be kind my feelings are hurt. I do trust him, but I would like to know if he makes it out of his way to message a girl him and I don't know...

I don't see how his reaction is normal. I would never react like that if he asked me. He could look at my phone right now. And read ever single message I have sent. if he wants. And he could ask me about absolutely anyone I talk to. And I wouldn't even hesitate to tell him.
