Basically I told my guy friend I only see him as a friend multiples times. Yesterday he tried his luck and went in for a hug (which I thought was just a hug) then he grabbed my face and tried to kiss me. This upset me, what should I do?
Cut this poor sot loose, he doesn't want to be your friend. Stop torturing him. As long as you let him hang around he's going to be trying to upgrade, you know it's never going to happen so send him out into the world to find someone who will see him as more than a friend.
Some might claim that it's romantic but it's actually sexual assault what he did.
Don't let him change your mind. Tell him, how he made you feel. Set him clear boundaries and define consequences for crossing them.
Then just don't back off giving him endless chances... it won't work.

Well, you put him right back in that eternal friend zone where he belongs! Make him pay for something for daring to bust a move.
