Wow, what a jerk move by your ex. Hiding a whole relationship like that is super shady and dishonest. A few things that might explain his actions:
- He was just using you for attention/validation when it was convenient for him. Didn't actually want a real commitment.
- Wanted to keep you on the backburner as an option while also having a "proper" girlfriend. Egotistical and disrespectful to you both.
- Deep down insecure and knows he didn't deserve you, so had to pretend he wasn't tied down to make himself feel better. Weakness on his part.
- Lying comes easy to some dudes who don't value being truthful or someone's real feelings. Selfish behavior.
Don't waste another second stressing over what he did. You dodged a bullet there man! Clearly he wasn't ready for someone as cool as you. Brush it off and keep doing your thing. The right person will appreciate you 100% for who you are. Peace!
