Background: We started hooking up in January 2023, but we originally met in 2022 on December 20 something. He lives in Austin and I live in El Paso, TX. We made sure it was just sex, no strings attached. After agreeing, we would visit each other in person to just have sex. At the end of March 2023, he confessed his feelings for me that he likes me outside of sex. We were kind of friends at the moment, but we would talk about layers of life experience, we both had. After he confessed, I had to decline his offer. I wanted to leave, but I sticked around. I should’ve left. At that time, I still had feelings for my ex, my main objective was just to use him for my void that my ex left me.
That happened a few months ago, we would have arguments about him mirroring my messages & the way I spoke around him. I set myself a lot boundaries, but he would cross it & we’ve been on & off friends with benefits relationship. At the end of October that’s where I gained more feelings from him. He showed me what my ex couldn’t give me. He also, broke my barrier, my barrier was not getting to close to anyone because then I become vulnerable to him so I let him in because I trusted him. He would have the balls to ask me out even if I didn’t want to date him or have the possibility be in a relationship with him. This year in 2024 January 16. We told each other that we shouldn’t visit each other or hookup anymore. So we did that and I’ve been having massive conflicts with him. I usually do all the initiating and I wanted to talk about having a relationship with him. He rejected my offer/ said that he should ask me out in person. So he’s been acting distant around me ever since, he wasn’t like this. He would initiate the first, he used to be close, now he’s like hot & cold. But he wants me to stay bc he is happy where we are right now.
