During lockdown I got real creative in doing a back patio update to defy the neighborhood HOA I don’t like. I was real stubborn with the “I don’t care about what other people think”. It took me a lot of time, work and money to put it up to. I kept asking my friends and tenants what they really thought about it. Asked for their honest opinion. They kept saying “oh that looks really cool” but in reality I think they just didn’t want hurt my feelings given the effort I put in it
However in retrospect the decoration now looks really stupid and “janky”. I plan to take it down this summer.

Quite often but mainly in the realm of extreme sports and stunts. Most of my worst injuries are from those. "Dude, you can't make that." Me: "Watch me! [faceplant]."
I have this bad habit well, when someone tells me I can't do something or that it's a bad idea, I want to do it even more now, not less.

If do you something you regret make sure it’s a forgivable mistake. Because some things you can’t fix easily or at all (especially if someone gets hurt).

Yeah I figure. Hey maybe nothing will ever happen to you. I had a heavy foot myself when I was a kid.
But remember it just takes one mistake one day that will change the rest of your life (or even end it).

Yeah I know the adrenaline rush of doing something crazy. It can be addictive.
But before you do something like that try this: think of the adrenaline rush. Then think of the risk of getting killed and/or killing someone else. Tell yourself is the adrenaline rush worth and if you accomplished anything? You got “bragging rites” but to who? Your friends?
This is what I needed to ask myself to get over a very dangerous addiction I used to have. It wasn’t drugs but it almost killed me. And I got caught up in it for “a rush”. But I finally decided it wasn’t worth dying over.

Oh yeah for the second thing I did that my first night in college. I did it more to “be cool” then to enjoy it. But it was NOT worth it. Hell no. Fortunately she didn’t get knocked up. But huge regrets afterwards. It wasn’t work being an alpha for 10 mins for years of regret later.

Yeah no problem. Man I miss 18. But again think about how you feel AFTER the action you take. That will help you make better choices.
If you pause to consider for a moment you will make better decisions. There is a difference between smart and lucky. If you on luck it will eventually bite you in the ass. I would know better then anyone on that (I’m a recovering compulsive gambler).
