Guys, would you be happy if your girlfriend baked you a cake for your birthday?

Provided it was decent tasting, lol. Would you be embarrassed, or happy if she made you a cake for your birthday, or some other celebratory occasion?

I'm not asking for myself. I saw this dude who was super embarrassed that his girlfriend baked him a cake for his birthday, and was a jerk to her about it in front of his friends. I thought his reaction was weird, as the cake was pretty and she clearly put a lot of effort into it.

Also, on that subject, what's your favorite kind of cake?

Yes, the guy was a jerk. He should have made special efforts to make her feel appreciated but he did just the opposite. I don't expect that relationship to last much longer.

I don't eat carbohydrates so my fiancee would not bake me a cake, but she certainly would prepare a favorite meal for me. Back in the day when I did eat cake, my favorite was carrot cake.

I made that cake today by the way! It was so good! So if you were thinking of trying it, you definitely should. I used less than half of all the sugar measurements the recipe recommended and the cake and icing were still lovely and had the perfect sweetness. I also added a bit of fresh grated ginger which I totally recommend.

I’d be very happy. My friends would be as well cause they’re going to get a slice as well. There has to be more to it as to why he reacted this way. But I think most men would be happy w that. My girl always does that, she knows I love cake. Especially confetti cake.
