Why won’t he make a move on me if he’s interested?

Hey so I am taking to this guy.

We know each other for years now but we really started to talk a month ago. Last we week we had a conversation and it went pretty flirty.
He randomly texted me for a question haha, like "how tall are you I can’t tell by your pictures and I meant to ask this for a long time now , I answered back because I thought it was his excuse to text me and we spoke the whole night and even in the day after.

It was so magical. He told me that I intrigued him a lot as a girl, he asked me questions about my past relationships. We spoke about our preferences, our families and so on. But it’s been a week now and he hasn’t texted me. But he likes all my stories. I don’t understand because I can’t possibly be wrong, he is interested in me and he made me understand it.

After 5 years we finally spoke and now it’s not moving or going anywhere. It’s overwhelming and I don’t understand his behaviour. Obviously if he can like my pics, he can also text me. So why is he doing anything?

First of all forget about liking your pictures. It doesn't mean he likes you. You want it to mean he likes you, which is different. So you think EVERY single like from a guy means he wants you? Come on, don't be ridiculous.
Second, it seems like you are showing zero effort to show him you are interested. He probably doesn't know if you like him or not since you won't even text him first.

That’s the saddest part. I was the first one who texted him before that night. We didn’t speak for 5-6 months and I am the one broke the silence. He might not know I like him, but he knows for sure I’m interested in him. Especially that night I got carried on by the atmosphere and I was too straightforward. At that point he told me to go until the end and tell him and I told him I wouldn’t. ( honestly now I regret for not telling him how I felt, but I didn’t feel right doing that at that moment, dumb decision ) I even told him that it was frustrating how he never dares to text me and that I already said too much. What would you do as a guy ?

Haha it would be hard to meet up in person as we live in two different cities now, pretty far away from one another. But thanks a lot , it was helpful. I just need some time to think.

I wrote that the conversation was slowly getting flirty. I said " I was about to say something but I would rather not because I won’t be able to take responsibility for what I said in the morning", he said "with something like this just go till the end and say it because it’s important". I couldn’t bring myself to say that I liked him at that moment, but he too could’ve said something. Instead he said "now I’ll just have to worry about this the whole week" and he changed the subject to ask "did you date anyone?" 💀

Hey just wanted to thank you. I kinda needed that cold shower to come back to my senses. I ended up texting him and we’re meeting each other.
I tried to end the conversation because I was really shy after telling him I wanted to see him but he said he wanted to talk more. I don’t know where are we going but thanks.

Why don't you text HIM first and find out? He won't think you're thirsty or desperate if you just reach out first. Just make conversation like you would with a friend, and see if he's talkative. If he responds with enthusiasm, you are probably in with a shot. Guys don't usually text girls they don't find attractive unless she is a close friend.

I thought about texting him this whole entire week. But I already texted him once before that night and yes I am afraid he would think I am desperate or too easy. Every time I am being honest with a guy it ends up in a stupid situationship kind of crap and at this point his opinion about me matters a lot.

I completely get you girl, I've been in that situation before and I get feeling you would come across needy or desperate. But the thing is, if he likes you, which it sounds like is a possibility, he won't be bothered by you texting him first again. As long as you don't ALWAYS reach out first, like maybe after this time leave it to him to reach out the next couple of times. But remember, we're all human, including him. What I would do is reach out. If he sounds receptive, then he wants to talk to you. If he sounds curt or distant, then I would leave it.

Girl you’re seriously amazing. Honestly sometimes we’re so overwhelmed that we tend to ignore other person’s emotions. I don’t care about the guy doing the first move kind of things. It’s just he matters to the point that I am scared of doing something wrong that would turn him off. I might take some time before texting him as I need to find the right moment.
