Why would a guy initiate contact by adding you on SnapChat and then leave your message on delivered for over a day? Should I call him out or leave it?

A guy added me on SnapChat (has my number) a week after moving back home to the US. I didn’t add him as I figured he wouldn’t want to keep in contact but since he initiated I could be wrong. When he added me, I accepted and sent a quick message to say hi and that I hoped he was settling in back home okay. We exchanged a few messages over an hour and now he has left me on delivered for over a day. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and say he is busy and taking his time to reply when things are calmer and also noting the Timezone differences. When he was living here in Australia we connected really well and we were flirting a bit.

Update: Still have not heard back from him so leaving it for now. Trying to give him the benefit of the doubt for the moment. If he comes back he comes back, if not I think I might just walk away.

It’s been over a week now and he has left the message unread but has been active online. I have no idea what is going on with him but I’m done and not wasting time. If he can’t take 30 seconds out of his day to read a message then I’m not going to take 30 seconds out of mine to chase him.

It’s been over 2 weeks now. I have remained no contact with him and moved on with my life. I did post a couple of photos to my stories for my other friends with absolutely no expectations from him. He looked at the first photo and not the second. Have spoken to some good friends and they agreed not contacting was the way to go, however from their perspective they seem to think he is confused about his feelings. I’m still not going to chase him.
