Your boyfriend made a new insta after deleting the old one a year ago due to issues with following females.. what are your thoughts?

about a week ago my boyfriend decided to download instagram again and make a new one.. he hasn’t had one since last year because he would randomly follow females that I didn’t know (which he would say were accidental OR he wouldn’t know how they got there.. yeah and I was born yesterday) and of course instead of not following them /be respectful he just decided to delete the app lmao (classic) I already spoke with him and let him know that I trust him but I can’t help but to think about our past encounters with the app, like it’s only human to think of that, right? well he reassured me that he only downloaded it and made a new one for our family.. so what’s weird is he is only following me right now and he has his older sister and best friend (who is a male) following him now. he's posted 3 photos with no captions of us, which are while I was pregnant and when our baby was born. so today he randomly texts me that we need to start taking updated photos of us as a couple but also threw in that he needs updated photos of himself… what do y'all think about this? I’ve always been the type of person to always keep my guard up and trust my intuition but maybe im just going crazy lol

It sounds from past experiences with the previous account you jump to conclusions since it was an issue back then. That really isn't uncommon to do is to assume that it is going to be the same as last time. The question is though... is it? If it were me and I would give him some leeway and see if he follows through with the deal that you two made. If he can do that then maybe he is being genuine. You can see who he follows after all right? So it won't be very hard to notice if he slips up. To be honest it would really bother me. The odds of him or someone I was with ever meeting these people is pretty slim because I have a pretty good idea what type of insta girl you are referring to.

that’s the thing, it would be females that are friends of friends… his excuse was he sent a follow request a long time ago (before we had started our relationship) and she must’ve barely accepted it.. but I am thinking to just not jump to conclusions and see if what he is saying is genuine

Okay so a bit different than what I was imagining. I do think the right thing to do is let him show you that he keeps his word.

yes for sure, although he is known for deleting search history and being secretive.. he’s done this before with Twitter where as he made a new account and never told me. Doesn’t follow anyone or have any followers.

Well I hope that he keeps true to his word and doesn't act all shady. That is a severe breach of trust if he does it again.

yeah exactly.. im just genuinely confused on his reasoning behind it. “For the family” so i don’t have the password to the account & he doesn’t follow any family or friends on it.

no about being careful this time around.. we’ve had some issues in the past about trust and other people in the picture, and that’s what caused him to want to just rage delete the app.

okay so im not thinking crazy! I want to think it is for strictly family purposes but with him adding on that he wants to have updated photos of himself was weird? and when i questioned why he then threw in not just himself but also us as a new family… ugh
