A guy in my class and I were crushing on each other really heavy but none of us knew of the other's feelings at the time. He had asked one of my male friends if I was taken and the guy lied and said yes. They became rivals.( I discovered this some years later) After obviously not acting on the mutual crush we both moved on and one night some years later, one evening he passed on the sidewalk by my home all hugged up with a girl he was obviously dating. He literally saw me first, but greeted my younger brother who was present also and ignored me completely. He immediately told the girl something out loud concerning a topic he and I would discuss at length back in the day that made it so blatantly obvious that he was trying to flaunt/ show her off. When they were out of sight my brother laughed and began teasing me. What was the guy's intention that day exactly? Is he completely over me? Am I reading too deeply into it?

What Guys Said
So, you said neither of you knew about each other's crush on each other, but you claim you had a mutual crush? That doesn't make any sense.
You said this encounter happened 'years later', and you still think he isn't 'over you'? Girl, what are you talking about? Also, I highly doubt he was 'showing off his girlfriend', that's a move women pull, not guys (with rare exceptions) He probably forgot about it 10 minutes later.
I get where you're coming from. Don't think he found out that I was really into him but ( I learned years later from a friend who met his brother) that he had a plan in motion involving his brother and friends to put us together but I was more naive at the time. Presently he is really nice and friendly to all my siblings whom he barely knows but literally/ acts like I don't exist even though we had a closer friendship back then.
I'd say he probably didn't want to talk to you in front of his girlfriend. I wouldn't take it personally.
