Signs a guy is serious about you?

What are some things a guy will do if he's serious about you/wants to date you?

Some of the things this guy has done:

-had me over and paid for beer and made a fire

-randomly told me his mom really likes me

-constantly asks why we still keep in touch

-when I'm in town, he wants to hang out every day

-showed up to a party I was at after I left, asked where I was, left 15 minutes after he found out I wasn't there

-willing to drive to pick me up at school 3 hrs away, take me home, and take me back to school

-remembers most of what I tell him

He also likes to bring up how we seem to be complete opposites yet we get along really well, and that he doesn't know why but he loves it.

This guy loves you not to freak you out, but yea I don't think he just likes you I think he actually loves you.

1. I would never pay for a girl that's just a friend unless I owed her.

2. Asks why you keep in touch to hear you say you like being around him, that gives him a confidence boost (I get girls to say they miss me if am interested in them, it makes me feel so great).

3. Drives 6hrs round trip! Holly sh*t! what more do you need? A Marching band to play a love song to you?

4 Remembering small irrelevant details is a huge hint.

5. Am a firm believer that if someone who you've known for a while says they love something relating to you than they actually love you.

If you have feelings for him I suggest you ask him out because he's most likely not going to anytime soon (if he was he would have done it a LONG time ago). He's too afraid of getting rejected, so take charge.

Haha wow thanks. I think I may make him nervous or something, or maybe he's just taking it slow. He knows I'm a virgin because I don't want to lose my virginity to an a**hole so I'm waiting for a guy I really like. He's not a virgin (but doesn't have a wild track record, either). I'm just confused if he is doing this because I'm a good friend. We've only known each other a couple years and hung out probably five times. here but I don't really consider him a good friend of mine in comparison to other people I'd call a good friend of mine. (not that he's a bad one, we're just not that close I guess)

A couple of years? he asks you why you're friends to also know where you two stand. He definitely really wants to hang out with you more, but just doesn't know how to do it without making it seem awkward (remember he likes you and in his head it'll be completely obvious he's interested in you if he hangs out with you, which he thinks might make you uncomfortable). He doesn't have a wild track record because he is the type of guy that once he falls for a girl he'll just concentrate on her.

You’re that girl right now and I bet he hasn’t made any moves on other girls since you really started to get to know each other. Seriously, from what you’ve described this guys is at the very least absolutely crazy about you if, if not in love with you. He sounds like a great guy so you should definitely give him a chance if you’re interested in him. He’s not taking it slow if he is just staying in the same place..it has been years he’s not going to do anything.

You’re the one who should move this relationship forward. You could just flat out ask him how he feels about you and to be completely honest because you really need to know and you’ll be very hurt if he doesn’t tell you and/or lies to you. If he’s the type of guy that I think he is, he’ll spill his heart out to you on the spot.

thank you again! I just won't see him for a few weeks so I'm not sure how to do that in the meantime. we're both pretty busy, me with school, him with work and school. we don't talk very often when I'm not home... just a few random texts here and there. maybe a drunken phone call. I just don't want him to give up and become uninterested. I could definitely see this going somewhere and it takes a lot for me to say that.

This guy sounds like the old me...the only reason that's how I WAS is because girls wouldn't show any interest back and I'll completely loose hope/interest because I didn't think she felt the same way (when in some cases she did). If it's been years he's definitely on the last few yards of giving up altogether so you have to make a move if you're interested, I don't know how much simpler I can make it. Just because he doesn't call/txt a lot it doesn't mean anything; actions speak louder than words.

well he had a girlfriend for about the first year and a half we knew each other but he didn't talk to me for awhile until they broke up about 6 months ago. all of what I mentioned happened with in the past month or so. since you used to be this guy, how would you prefer the girl would've gone about taking charge? text you? call you? wait until she sees you again to make a move?

i live three hours away... hard to hang out =/ he's coming to visit at the end of the month, though.

next time you text with him tell him that you really miss him and you can't wait till you see him, that'll make his day. Don't call that'll make him nervous txting is better that way he can think of what to say next. Next time you two hang out you should just ask what I told you before. That's really all you can do and a random text every now and then lets him know that you're thinking of him, so you should definitely do that.

okay thank you very much for all your advice but ONE more question/thing... if he does just see me as a friend, would the "i miss you and can't wait to see you" text kinda creep him out? I don't wanna be that creepy/clingy girl

if you're a good friend no, I have girls say that who I see as friends and I don't think twice about it. I remember this one time in high school a girl I was actually interested in told me she missed me after a week of not seeing each other because of holidays (the thing was though we HARDLY ever spoke to each other) and she asked if I missed her (I was too big of an idiot to get the hint haha) and I just looked at her like she was on drugs and just said no why would I miss you hahaha...idiot
