Not saying we women can't handle it but I do wonder if men had to deal with it they would have thought about things differently. And wanted to make sure THEY are comfy where they don't care about us having to deal?
I doubt it.
Corporate lobbyists wouldn't care if it was men, any more than women, because regardless of gender, giving extra time off would just be lost productivity and wages.
The same reason men very rarely get paternity leave after their wife gives birth, and why the US has the fewest days off of any developed country. Why should they, when they can be working and making money for their fat cat bosses?
It's not a male vs female issue; it's a corporate profits issue.

9 moIt's possible. As a guy I can verify that I don't ever think about what a woman goes through during her period. I was married and I never thought about it. If people (Men and women) both had to experience what it's like to be the opposite sex it would be very eye-opening. It would cause us all the empathize with each other better.

It's quite impressive. I've worked with a lot of women, and I never had a clue when they were dealing with those issues. Now that I think about it, there could've even been times when I lectured a female employee to get back to work or something because she was just sitting around all afternoon. Maybe I didn't realize that she was possibly on her period and struggling? I feel bad now.
- 9 mo
The world is as it is so you can't feel bad about it. I think going toilet (to change product and check for leaks) is where it's difficult as nit only men bosses - any bosses- really don't like an employee taking extra bathroom breaks. And school? They're even worse. They won't let 12+ year old girls use bathroom outside of break and lunch (when everyone else needs to go and there's no time plus students are gonna be playing pranks looking over the door). My poor daughters wouldn't change their product all day. So imagine that discomfort!
- 9 mo
Yeah. I remember we had some teachers that wouldn't let anyone go to the bathroom during class. That's ridiculous, especially for girls. They could get toxic shock syndrome or something.
9 moIn this world would women also still have Uteruses? Or is it just a roll swap. If both men and women menstruated I don't think much would change. Tampax would make double their income XD, but I don't think there would be menstrual leave. I think men would have more compassion for women, but I don't think much would change. It's possible that we could see more products designed to help now that the market would have doubled.

What you are asking if, We were a Hermaphrodite species which Possessed Both Sex Organs? As in there was no Gender and a Person is Both Male and Female.. than it would categorise not as a Gender issue but a health issue!
Making it - Eligible to Paid time off! Just like We get Paid Sick Leave and Also Time for Lunch Break or To Go Sleep!
If we were Hermaphrodite, this world would be a Great Place to Live in!

9 moWell I feel some jobs that are men dominate like construction and hard manual labor if we had periods we get time off. I not sure how women feel when the they have a period but I know feeling exhausted and mood swings would make those jobs harder and take longer.
10 ReplyI think I know what you're getting at - if male bosses owners and employees all had periods I bet there would definitely be some kind of allowances made - people don't realize that up until 50 60 years ago Women were basically kept out of any decision making - everything was geared toward what was best for and worked for men - - (I'm very grateful I don't have to go through the things Women do
10 ReplyYou know it always strikes me as crazy how woman can say openly sexist things about men all the time but if men even slightly hint at it then we get our heads bit of even though woman openly do it just as much.
Why wouldn't men be able to handle it too?02 Reply- 9 mo
I usually avoid generalising to this extent but I'm basing on my experience of men who get very "woe me" over having a cold. There's stereotype jokes about "man flu". I've seen it in real and also many many women say about it too. How when a man gets a head cold he acts like he's dying and wants a mass of sympathy compared to when a woman has a cold and has to "get on with it". So I was thinking because a period is discomfort on that level but regular rather than caught like a cold I wondered if those "woe me" men would have changed the system of work to manage it? Because men controlled and created a lot of how things are in the world but did not have the perspective of women or ability even to think about "women's problems" back then..
Think of it like architects. They often design a buildings that do not function well for disabled people in wheelchairs. Are they against disabled people? No. But they don't experience the wired through the legs of a disabled person so it doesn't even come to mind to design something with them in kind. Of course it's different now. Disabled people speak up or become architects themselves. But for a long time it wasn't a consideration. And same with how men wouldn't consider discomfort of periods unless experiencing discomfort themselves. - 9 mo
But by that logic there’s also a stereotype that men would rather die then ever visit the doctors office would that then not disprove your entire argument?
And I mean it’s not untrue I’ve seen guys chop off limbs those being fingers or something small and act like it’s nothing some I mean from that perspective I’ve seen men handle a lot more then anything a girl can normally handle cause everyone responds to pain differently.
But I appreciate you realizing that you shouldn’t put all guys in one box I see a lot of girls generalize and don’t care about sometimes the many exceptions in there false way of thinking. None of that to be pointed at you in particular just to be clear.
9 moNo if men had periods, women would be the law makers and enforcers so things would just as identical except for role reversals. Women given power and authority doesn't make them good people just as if not more capable of torture torment and sadism
011 Reply- 9 mo
Why would we be law makers etc? I didn't say role reversal. That we didn't have periods. I'm talking equality. If men had periods as well they would experience things like us and maybe make different changes to the work place etc. To accommodate their discomfort. Because men can't comprehend it from their perspective.

Women never belonged in workplaces
- 9 mo
According to biology.
- 9 mo
If we going only on biology then work shouldn't exist. You should be out hunting and I should be growing crops and looking after children.
Oh wait. That's kinda work isn't it? For both semester? Hm. Guess biology does support work. For survival. Just you know, we not ape lile tribes people anymore. Weird that huh - 9 mo
We have societies, now we aren't in the stone or bronze ages. You would feel most being at home raising kids , making your home a sanctuary and enjoying hobbies whilst I hunt for resources to give you and your children a safe and 'stress' free life
- 9 mo
you needed to find purpose for living
- 9 mo
you're cute tbh id like you to drain my balls
- 9 mo
The purpose of life is reproduction and to raise them up as good people. Your greatest joy is your children but how is your relationship with God and Jesus. You need to mend that for your soul for now and eternity.
9 moMost employers don't care about any illness from cancer to headaches and only provide sick time at extreme social and government pressure.. don't feel singled out.

9 moIf men had periods, they'd be staying home and letting women, who wouldn't have periods, do all the work. Complete role reversal.
01 Reply- 9 mo
Haha I didn't say women wouldn't have periods in this situation.
Think of it more as perspectives. If men had the experience they maybe would make changes in the work place. Similar to how for a long time buildings were not created with disabled people's access in mind. Because unless you are the one experiencing the difficulties you don't always think solutions are needed.
9 moConfidence, a great smile, and eyes that say “let’s go.” The rest is an exciting discovery. 😉👀🔥
00 Reply620 opinions shared on Guy's Behavior topic. Yes because men are weaker than women.
Women are mentally tougher and can handle it easier.
There should be period PTO for women or work from home.01 Reply- 9 mo
It's maybe not about being weaker but more about perspectives as I explained above to Gbreezy. People tend to overlook groups that are different to themselves because in general people cannot think from others perspectives - especially back in the day when working rules were in creation. A good example being how we in general do not think about pathways and door ways and access to floors in buildings for wheelchair users. But if we used a wheelchair we would suddenly think about it. And make adaptions. Put in ramps and elevators and widen doors etc.
So I wondered if "men" who developed a lot of tye way the world works would have made things differently with the perspective of bleeding discomfort monthly?

9 moYes, and if men gave birth, abortions would be legal in every state. You can bet the mortgage on that.
04 Reply- 9 mo
Absolutely not! Men would have all the sex they want. What would they care?
- 9 mo
That wouldn't be the preferred method, it would be the abortion pill. LOL And no, I don't think anything ABOUT abortions is easy. That's why I chortle at the right-wing nuts who constantly say that "95 % of abortions are elective and women, mostly libs, use it as birth control". That's total bullshit. How many women these days say to a guy, even if they live in a state where abortions are legal up to 20 weeks "Sure, don't use protection. Just cum inside me all you want, I can always get an abortion". That doesn't happen, and it's not because of legislation.

9 moIf men suffered the indignities of femininity they'd be in the corner drooling in fetal position most of their lives - forget paid employment

9 moI'm not sure about this. But I'm wondering if Women made the working conditions, would they have made paid time off every month?

Anonymous(25-29)9 moNo one would hire a man for full time pay, when they would be taking all this time off every month. I don't know why you assume employers give a shit about their employees, male or female.

Opinion Owner9 moEmployers don't even care if their employees have cancer. I don't see what bleeding from the penis would change.
