Groups of people stop talking when they see me?

what does it mean? like there's a group of guys and when they see me they suddenly stop talking and look at me. I am not ugly by any means and I don't have a strange style

they shut up because they don't want you think they are stupid because perhaps you look beautiful and they want to impress you or just want to not look bad by saying something that shouldn't been said like (guy1 to guy 2) "hew wana play pokemon after school?"
