Why does this guy talk to everyone in my group of friends except me?

It's driving me crazy there is a guy in my group of friends that seems not to like me, he talks to everybody except me, if I talk to him he tries to rush the conversation so it ends quickly. Before that he used to stare at me a lot non stop but never really talked to me, yesterday my best guy friend told me that he asked if the rumors were true about me liking my best friend.

I find it very odd, because he pretty much ignore my existence.

What's wrong with him, or me?

He was following the tip he seen on YouTube or some PUA website which advises something like: "How to approach a girl who's surrounded by her friends?"

-Go and talk to her friends, make jokes, be open, talk to everyone - except her!

- ..and she will wonder: "Why is that guy talking to all my friends but not ME?!"

Basically.. he thinks he will get your attention by doing so!

And the most dreadful things is that damn he actually succeeds!

You know - you can be pretty much sure he is into you - according to those stares before and using this so lame and overused but nevertheless popular tactic.

The problem is he's gullible and naive.. or insecure.. or just plain stupid if he's using such tricks so it's almost certain he won't be able to provide you a relationship you want.

But if you're not interested in him then just shrug it off - it ain't no big deal!

This doesn't answer your question but this happens to me a lot. I think in life you just meet some people who you don't click with, or don't click with right away. I have met people who were interested in talking to my friends but never me. It happens. It may not be intentional. Maybe it's his way of trying to get your attention. And it sounds like it's working.

Its hard to tell. But maybe he is shy around you and gets nervous when speaking to you.

there might be two things

well I liked a girl and I was not able to talk to her because I was really shy and I talked to all her friends and they thought I had a crush on one of them

or

he hates you

that too happened to me , the girl in front of me never shows me her answers , so I talk to her boy friend but not to her
