He won't add you on Facebook, red flag?

guy I had a casual thing with wouldn't add me on Facebook. he told me he doesn't use it anymore and how it gave him too much drama, bullsh*t. I looked at it and from what I could tell, there were old pictures of his ex up, but he did have a lot more friends on FB who are guys than girls, like he claimed.

and he still talks to his ex.

i don't think he's actually in a relationship with her but the way he talked about her made it seem like he isn't over her.

or could it be that she isn't really his ex? I mean, he's the one who brought up relationships, first asked me when my last one was, and then telling me he had a serious one that lasted a few years ago but it ended.

but I saw her name on his texting inbox (thanks large screen phones) so he's obviously still in touch with her.

i think he just doesn't want her seeing me and asking who I am. I know it means he doesn't take me seriously, but what else does it mean?

Ya know, if you act like you don't care he will respect you more. If you get into petty fights about FB, you're going to doom the relationship. Guys in general don't respond to petty fights and it drives the away. So seriously, just ignore it. It's OK if he's still friends with his ex. I'm still friends with my ex. I don't hang out with her but sometimes we text about friends that we have in common and stuff like that. Every once in a while I'll help her out with something at her house. My girlfriend doesn't love it but she doesn't have get on my case about it either. So since I know it bugs her and she doesn't throw a fit, I limit my texting and helping out my ex.

He obviously still has feelings for his ex and it seems like you were just a casual fling. Men usually hook up and date other girls to try to get over the ex. He doesn't want to add you because he's ashamed of you and yes it is a red flag. 1. He's not over his ex. 2. If you had a casual thing, he probably think you're just a fun girl. 3. He's not that into you.
If he really liked you, he'd do anything you ask him to do; especially adding you on Facebook. Don't make up excuses because you like him; you will end up getting hurt in the long run.

He runs the risk of scaring away new women if he adds you on Facebook and you start posting lovey dovey things or threatening things all over his page. He could still have a thing for his ex. Maybe if you explain to him that you just want to be friends and you will respect his page he won't care as much.

My last fling ended up hating me because she is crazy so the first thing I did was block her from Facebook. Can't have her craziness in such a public forum, no sir.

Ya when dealing with multiple girls or having one in particular you want it isn't a good idea to let them mess up your game on Facebook. Women get possessive fast. Keeping it to cell phones puts the guy in control.

So maybe he's just not active on it. If he's not, then no. It's not a big deal.But honestly,if you feel like he's not over his ex, then he probably isn't. I've been in the same situation.
