Does anyone in their 20s wear pantyhose anymore?

Im 23 and my mom sometimes  gets annoyed with me when I don't wear pantyhose with dresses/skirts. I just hate them a lot and they are a pain. She says it would help my legs look more tan however I am pale but in the summer I will get some color to my skin (I do not tan in like tanning beds/anything like that). My argument is though if I am pale and I wear pantyhose to make my legs look tan wouldn't that look weird? Since my upper body would be white and my legs well...tan.

Women wear Pantyhose because it is very alluring. Pantyhose are made to LOOK and to FEEL very alluring and sensual. Womens legs are very curvy (if you studied art you know this as 'lines of eroticism/femininity') and the sheer, smooth Pantyhose only *enhances* the supple curves of a woman.

Pantyhose can also be purchased with 'control top' or 'over all control' which will enhance / make better a womans shape from waist to toe.

Pantyhose are now being made with additives such as 'caffiene' for better skin texture (reducing cellulite and worn skin), 'aloe' for moisturizing, and so on.

Pantyhose to me are the most feminine article of clothing a woman can wear. (that is why 'pantyhose' is the route of many jokes)

If quality pairs of silky Pantyhose are purchased they can feel very seductive giving the person wearing them not only a feeling of 'sexiness' but great confidence.

It can provide another layer for keeping warm. Wearing a pair of pantyhose under a pair of pants during the winter keeps you nice and warm without having to hassle with a pair of snowpants.

Over all, 'why do women wear Pantyhose?'- The LOOK & the FEEL.

(Hooters girls, cheerleaders, casino girls, dancers, showGirls, figure skaters, roller skaters, models, actresses, business women, magician/illusionists assistants, rock stars/singers, etc...

Pantyhose also look great on film and video (also Photography)-

Pantyhose can stop most jellyfish stings (many ocean life-guards wear them)

Pantyhose can give extra energy by massaging the legs (as the legs move, the fabrice moves with and against that motion).

-and to dress to impress!

Overall it does come down to personal (and slightly cultural) preference. In some areas of the world it is less common to see women wearing pantyhose at all, but that does not mean no women wear them. Even in fashion, some are promoting bare legs as being better, but that is a matter of opinion.

Unless, I go somewhere very formal I never see anyone that seems like they would be 30 or younger wearing pantyhose and even then it is not a lot. On rare occasions I see girls in their 20's wearing tights at my campus. From pics that I looked at it seems like it depends on the type and color of what you wear. link link The legs do seem to be more noticeable here, more shiny with a bit more color. I actually like the look of dark pantyhose, they look very nice. link There are pantyhose that you would not be able to they if a girl is wearing them, like here. link If it was not for that darking line at her upper thigh I would have not been able to tell at all. I do love how pantyhose and tights make a girls legs look, it is very nice and classy yet sexy.

It's definitely you choice.  I wear pantyhose for like church, work, interviews, when representing my school at events, and at other times that I feel I need a professional polished look or a more like formal look.  My mom schooled me on the brands of pantyhose that fit well, don't itch and that look great on my legs.  I wear Berkshire lycra sheer and ultra sheer.  I also wear Cecilia de Rafael pantyhose that are 15 den or less.  These brands almost disappear on my legs even to the point that I have caught ladies and men staring at my legs trying to figure out if I am wearing pantyhose.  If you decide to wear pantyhose, why not look at the ones on shapings.com to see if you can find some that are the exact tone of your skin (the have a lot of brands there).

Hahahaha I'm almost 24 and I only wear those when I'm wearing uncomfortable heels or dress shoes lol. The I turned 18 I burned all my pantyhose lol

I do not know any girl who wears panty hose especially in the summer. Girls will wear tights in the winter though.

No it wouldn't look weird at all.. it does enhance the look of your legs n feet... can make them look gorgeous ! It also makes them look smooth silky soft... try on different tones /shades of sheer pantyhose look in a mirror or get a opinion from a friend... you will see how much a lot of guys will respond to legs that look gorgeous wearing them.

I do for church in the winter, though I don't really like them because they make my legs look lighter than my actual skin too. It's not a huge issue, it's just weird. Every other place I just go bare legged

I wear pantyhose to work.  I also like thigh high stocking when I'm dressing up to go out on a date.  Garters are just plain sexy.

The choice is truly yours to make.  Personally Hosiery are a fashion staple, tan hose are a safe color as well black.  If you don't like pantyhose then try tights or stay-ups.  Depending on your job or event you are attending, I would tolerate wearing hose, not because MOM said so, I think ladies look more mature wearing them.

Oh yes. I do. But never in summer. But during the rest of the year I wear pantyhose. I prefer pantyhose than stockings when I wear miniskirt, for example. :-)
