If a guy is always opening doors for me, offering to get me things, complimenting me and even walked me home half way across the city [The Opposite Direction from his house!] does he like me?

I wouldn't even be asking but apparently he is almost dating some other girl, so I question whether he is just being nice to me or if he likes me. Help?

He asked me to do a project with him and then we went to work on it and once we were done the little work we could do we sat and talked for 3 hours. He is always trying to tickle me, when we do work in class together our legs are always pressed together.

And this girl keeps telling him to ask out officially the girl he is "almost dating" and he keeps saying he will but he hasn't and it has been like ages since they have gone out. But he doesn't talk to me/flirt with me when she is around.

Walking you home, so far out of his way, is a pretty big sign that he might be into you. The rest could be just stuff that friends do for each other. If he's really 'almost dating' someone else, then maybe he's into her. But I would think he's pretty into you as well.

I'd say that he's just being nice except for the fact that he walked you home. That is a huge hint right there that he likes you. If you like him, I'd go for it. Flirt back. Try not to worry about the other girl
