Has anyone got any remedies for toothaches?

I've got a bad toothache and im not going to the dentist until wed afternoon. Any ideas on how to ease the pain? I got to work 2× 12 hour shifts before the visit😷

Get some 3% hydrogen peroxide, put a teaspoon of it in 2 table spoons of water, and swish that around your mouth a couple times a day. Then after that, put a teaspoon of baking soda in some water, and swish that around a couple times a day.

1 kills bacteria, the other alkalizes the mouth.

Dont swallow the peroxide.

This will address the problem, pain killers will only mask the problem.

Hopefully something here will help. There is a suggestion in here of warm salt water. That does work I've used it. But I mix the salt with a 50/50 water & mouthwash.

Clove of oil, I believe is suppose to help with this. Of course it is just a temporary solution.

oh dude is that because of tooth nerve pain or a simple tooth decay?

Im not sure. It might be from a gum infection because I have a bit of a lump.

Probably some heavy pain killer..OTC things won't be strong enough, as Miss Philippines seems to know; must be a nurse!

it's generic name is ibuprofen so yeah you can use that. it's an OTC med

pain killer does not treat the problem, it's just a temporary relief.. you even have to take it again after a few hours. i'm glad it helped you a bit. it's efficacy also depends on the pain killer meds and the dosage. djvtech suggestions make sense to me. you can try it. :)

I might just stick with the pills unles it gets worse. On Wednesday afternoon the dentist should make it better :)
