Well if your hiking and im assuming eating healthier. Then you won't loose weight but you will gain muscle which weighs more then body fat. But you will also get toned and more defined leg muscles. The best way to loose weight is to go running start easy make a challenge for yourself weekly. I run about 10k three times a week. I have a slender body, last I weighed I was 160.

Stop exercises for 4 days to a week, eat 'normal' i. e. not too much sugar and stuff but nominal, and then revert to your exercise and diet regimen, this change will break the plateau. It works well with me. Also for that week change your eating timings :-D do that and watch :-)
Don't run into crash diets else you'll come back with more than what you lost :-)
Maintaining weight and health is a process, needs to be worked on at all times :-)
Good luck :-)Well, if we exercise we got make sure we are eating
enough calories along with the exercise so i would
recommend it's not what we eat , it's how much we
eat i been eating little of all stuff but than again i use
moderation i don't eat a whole bunch of something
i really like but than i don't deprive myself of foods
that i like and I been losing weightHiking won't be as effective as other ways of exercise as it isn't intense. You'd lose more weight (or fat) by. lifting heavy weights (you won't get bulky without steroids, women don't have enough testosterone to build heavy muscle, you'll just tone up) and doing about 15-30 minutes of high intensity cardio e. g. sprinting, interval training (sprint 10 seconds, jog 20 seconds, sprint 10, jog 20, repeat, can be done with swimming or cycling too).
Eat at a deficit, do high intensity interval training. Use the app "myfitnesspal" it will tell you how many calories to consume.
Try high intensity interval training (HIIT). It definitely worked for me.. I lost about 10-13 pounds in 2-3 months. Diet is definitely a must for sure though.
