I just lose 10kg on my diet and work out. Here what i am doing since last May.
1. i am avoiding rice (since i love to eat rice before). rice have high carbohidrate that could transform to fat if you are not an actve person.
2. i started to change my purpose of eating from 'eat till i get full' to 'eat till my stomach feel at ease'.
3. I start to eat flesh food like chicken n meat or fish in some small amount. 2pieces of small cut of chicken is good enough for me to get rid my hunger.
4. I started to drink a lot of plain water. When you pee, some amount of fat will flow out of you body. So pee a lot.. hehe
5. The pain part. But it shouldn't b hsrd for you since you are an athlete. Work out. I dont really do jogs or running. I only use abs roller anf sit up. i really push it st my core and it turn out that my thighs are also shrink a little bit. I dont have any set of counting just doing it 10times then stop then another 10 till 50times. Same goes to sit up but sometime i do 100 without time limit. i work it in the after wake up, after get home from work and a few hours before sleep. If i get a chance i do it in my office only sit up.
Thats it. The result now is, the last work pants i bought is 40 in size last january. Now i have to buy a new 38 of size. I tried 36 because 38 is a little bit loose but 36 a little bit tight. Msybe 37 is fit but no size of 37.

um honey, 5-3 and 123 is pretty much right on for an athletic female. But if you insist on only a pound or two, three at most, try any variety of low carb diets. Most of them involve what they call an 'induction phase', which basically means you go totally carbless for a couple of weeks, but there are tons of foods you can eat which will satisfy you through this process. After that the weight loss is indeed AT MOST 2 pounds a week, which is considered the healthiest and longest lasting rate.
My favorite diet is mostly protein. I don't get super strict, but I I also avoid high fats. I rarely go for cheese, and I keep to very low sugar. I don't put salt in anything, and I also have low blood pressure. If you must, go for sea salt. Fruits and vegetables are good too.

At your age though you shouldn't need to diet. It's a lot easier to be active and loose weight. Go play sports with your friends. I spent my high school years running around with kids younger than me to stay in shape. We played manhunt, tag, cops & robbers, real sports, etc. Never a day inside. Generally though, any activity will work, even lifting will help, dancing, walking, running, etc.

I don't know how to help you... The short answer is drink water instead of other drinks (including flavored water) and stop eating junk food... But that only works for fat people...
Worry less about weight and more about flubby areas.Your BMI says you are normal weight. You don't need to lose weight. To get the feeling you're looking for, you might need to gain some muscle though.
If you want to tone up just do weight lifting and cardio.
Belly dancing loose weight more easily and get your body shape ;)
