it won't make you into a blimp overnight... but yeah, you'll gain weight
the body can't effectively metabolize food as well while you sleep... so more of it is converted to fat... or simply not digested at all
this is bad in more ways than just your weight. if your main nutrient intake is at a time that it can't be digested, then you run into problems with malnutrition (vulnerability to illness, stunted growth, less effective healing, fatigue during the day, etc)
i eat huge meals at the end of the day too... i think most people do... BUT that doesn't mean every other meal should be a light snack
... the amount should be rather balanced
in fact, more and more nutritionists are suggesting that you should have 5-6 very light meals throughout the day. since more of what you eat is used by the body--it's healthier
you're weight's fine... for now... your health is more important... and your mom isn't trying to be bossy, i;'m sure... she's just worried about you
... but then moms always tend to nag at their kids... you could be 70 years old and your mom would call you up and criticize you for something... its just how they are, hehe :)

eating copious amounts at bedtime never made me gain weight. i tend to eat a lot at night too. sounds like she's looking out for
you though.
As long as you are young and have a good metabolism, you should be fine. I eat like that too a lot, and I am thin. Actually, I made funnel cakes at midnight last night. Your fine now, but its a good idea to drop those eating habits somewhat soon.
A lot of that weight is muscle? What do you weight train? If no then you're kidding yourself, 118 at your height is heavy, I think that you probably need to look in the mirror again and loose 10-20 pounds

I don't think it's about loosing weight but more of an health issue. Eating more at night especially binge eating isn't particularly healthy. The best meal to eat most is breakfast or lunch as it gives you energy throughout the day and burns off the food you take in.
damn those mothers... my mother yells at me sometimes because i eat less than she thinks is enough for me. but in fact for me is enough
Honestly, I think your weight is fine. I just think the skipping 2 meals and then bingeing is unhealthy.
Binge eating just before you sleep is the worst. Those foods becomes stored fat with no way of it being used as energy since you're sleeping.
