Guys how important is health in a relationship?

I know the question is vague but I have been having seizures since i was a teenager and many times it has kept me from starting a relationship...
So I suppose my question is to the guys and I was wondering " Would you date and possibly marry a girl who would have to deal with seizures maybe all her life?"

I would stay with her because its something that cannot be helped. I want to be a medic of some kind so medical stuff doesn't bother me. Also, I have had three heart surgeries, and im not about to judge someone for a medical thing they have. Also I think it would just make me care more because you need me (even if you dont REALLY need us, guys think you do BTW)
So in short: Yes, it wouldn't bother me

Yea I can't see myself judging you because of your heart surgeries either. Thanks, you helped a lot because when I started thinking about myself in the opposite situation I wouldn't care at all if the other person had health problems so there are probably more good people like you out there who would see it the same way :) thanks and I actually don't mind if the guy feels like I need him bc well sometimes I do :P

Maybe. Why I say maybe? Because I haven't been in that type of situation. I want to believe that it wouldn't matter, but I would need to live through that to know, and have a better opinion, but I think I could handle it if I loved her.

My daughter has epilepsy. Dr's are pretty confident she will out grow them but even if she doesn't she can live a normal life with medications. I don't think you should worry, there are a lot of people I think could handle it. What type do you have and do you have them often?

Well I have absence seizures and grand mal seizures and sometimes muscle spasms but only about 2-3 times a month. I stopped my medication bc they always gave me migraines and i lived inside my head and wouldn't talk to anyone, but I do take a bunch of herbal pills and vitamins...

My daughter has focal epilepsy which usually effects the one side of the body and episodes can last 5to 20 min. Her medication does help keep episodes under control. I think you should be able to find someone who will be accepting of what you having epilepsy.

I had seizures in high school and nobody knew because it only happened at night. Nobody I knew cared that I had seizures or avoided dating me for that reason.

When I was in high school I started having seizures and I usually have them in the mornings about 2-3 times a week and it really freaks my family out and most of the time... but my friends don't usually care about it though :)

I think guys will date you if they are attractive and if you are a decent / classy person. My seizures did not affect my dating life at all while I was in school.

I've had mild epilepsy for about a decade. If a girl had it too I wouldn't mind. It's not a big deal. If a person loves someone then nothing will stop them.
