Why does this happen?

I'm very clean and I wash myself every single day...but I always get a lot of yeast infections and I'm always very itchy "down there"...what could be the problem?

1) Hormonal factors: stress, anxiety, depression and such

2) Clothing: change your panties and pants, your kitty kat needs to breath as much as you do, wearing tight clothing is never all that great, change your detergent, certain types of clothing can cause sweating

3) Diet: yes things that you eat will change the alkali and acidity (pH levels) of your kitty kat

4) Weather: it is still summer and the hot damp moist weather does not help.

5) Cleanliness: yes washing it too much can cause irritation and more pH imbalance. 2-3 times a day is sufficient. Could be you soap also, might be too strong or too weak.

yeast infections are caused by a lack of good bacteria, if you wash yourself too thoroughly, then you're getting rid of the good bacteria which fight the bad bacteria which then multiplies and causes infections. I suggest eating more yogurt because it's a pro-biotic and it will encourage the good bacteria. and also maybe use a more gentler soap which is designed for use in that area of your body. using regular body wash or soap is too harsh.
