For example, in the morning i'm eating a half cup of uncooked oats with a little cinnamon, for snack i'll eat a small red apple sometimes with just a little peanut butter, sometimes just plain. For lunch i'll eat a small salad with a few peices of grilled chicken and for dinner i'll eat grilled chicken & veggies or spaghetti squash w/ homemade tomato sauce (just a couple examples)
Is what i'm doing okay so far to lose weight? Since i'm not counting calories or carbs? I'm doing small portions every time I eat as well.

I never counted and lost weight. The important thing is finding a method that works for you. Fome me eating less (this less is only the enough not to stay hungry, I ate too much and I was a child) and exercising every day worked very well. 10 years ago I was 150 cm. and my weight was more than 50 kg, almost 60 kg. Today I'm 175 cm and my weight is 75 kg. So, yeah, my method worked and I never counted.
