Big people, would you be offended if someone told you that you would be beautiful or hot if you lost weight?

This question can be for girls and guys, but throughout the years I've seen numerous girls that are overweight, but I think to myself "Man, she would be so beautiful if only she lost weight". I suppose i'm shallow since weight is a consideration for me, but would you feel inspired or offended if someone told you that?
Does it change your answer if I say Beautiful or Hot?
Does it change your answer if the person telling you was ugly, normal, or attractive?

I'm no Brad Pitt myself, so I personally would feel inspired to lose weight if someone came up to me and told me I would be hot if I lost a few pounds.

I would be inspired to lose if i'm told I would be hot if I lost weight.

I would feel offended or ashamed that they think I weigh too much.

I'm not overweight, but if someone told me that I would be offended. Also, that could cause someone to develop an eating disorder. I am recovering from one, and know that I would probably be so shocked and disgusted if I ever heard someone say that to someone else, regardless of their size, and would probably tell them that they are beautiful no matter what. So in other words I definitely wouldn't recommend you saying that to anyone- it's a dangerous path you could be leading them on, and many eating disorders develop from dieting and trying to lose weight. So please do not say that to people, especially a stranger.

I met a guy who is in great shape and works out a lot. He didn't ask me out on a date, but he did say, "hey, you should come work out with me sometime!" Long story short, I did start working out. I lost 50 pounds in one year, and not long after that, he asked me to be his girlfriend. I wasn't offended when he asked me to work out with him... but to answer your question... yes, I would have been hurt and angry if he had told me I would be hot IF I lost weight. I was hot before... I'm just hotter now. ;)

i was overweight before, and i hated when people told me that.

but they were true, judgng from what i see now... i'm obviously much... hotter now, that i'm skinny

And no one said that to me at all, pretty sure no one would even either. XD

A guy told me "You'd be so fucking hot if you were thinner." I don't think he meant it to be offensive, since he used to call me beautiful and gorgeous all the time. It did hurt a little, but if I'm being totally honest with myself, he's right. It didn't exactly get me to lose weight though, I've only started to get healthy during this past fall, and I dated that guy maybe three years ago, so he really didn't have anything to do with it.

Definitely!! I mean I do need to lose weight, and I get told I'm hot all the time and no one mentions that I need to lose weight. But I'm already working on it and it's challenging :/
I think people should accept others for who they are and not bash them because of how much they weigh.

And who knows? What if I looked even worse when I lose weight?
