Start slow. Ik it's tempting to wanna go straight from a bad diet to purely healthy diet but 180 degrees from crazy is still crazy. if u have a bad diet then have a good diet, when something comes up and u have a problem u switch back to the bad diet. Instead of creating 2 separate diets, stick to your old diet but just improve it. Eat 1 less piece of fried chicken, skip dessert every other time, only have fast food once a week. Slow and steady wins the race.

My family ply me with booze and wings and burgers whenever I visit. I don't see it as a super big problem, it's only for a day or two every other month.
