Have you ever dealt with a judgmental doctor?

I've dealt with a few of them...

The first time was with an gynecologist. Before she examined me, she asked my age, height, and weight. When I told her how much I weigh, she asked "Have you ever heard of a dietitian?" Like really? That was rude and bitchy. I'm aware I need to lose weight!!

Then the second time was with a dermatologist. I was asking how can I get rid of my stretch marks. He said "Maybe if you lose weight, they'll go away." Again, I'm aware I need to lose weight.

Being rude about it won't help.

I really hate doctors.

I don't know if you'd call it judgmental but I had a stupid stubborn one. I had an ear infection after swimming during high school. It hurt and leaked pus or w/e you call it so I went to the doctor. He looked into my ear and said I scratched my ear and there's a small open wound that probably got infected...
I told em that it happened 2 days after I went swimming and water got in my ear. He wouldn't listen and told me to just admit that I picked my ear and scratched it...

There was no point in me saying anything after that.

Another doctor congratulated me when I told her that I was a virgin. Like wtf lol. She was like that's good. What she didn't know was that I was constantly trying to lose my virginity by socializing with more women lol.

There's really nothing that will make stretch marks go away, they just become less noticeable with weight loss. I don't see how that comment was rude. Doctors can be blunt whether you wanna hear it or not.

The same thing happens to me. Like they'll tell me I'm too young to worry about heart disease. It can happen to anyone at any age.

@caliiipacific not so far as I can tell, but I had a lot of the symptoms of a problem and given how serious it can be for guys, I was concerned. This was about eight years ago.

Yeah, they were disgusted by my recreational use of drugs. My issue was unrelated but I decided to tell them the truth when they asked, I just thought they were judgmental and decided I didn't like them, also that they were square as fuck! lol

If it's to do with weight, no way. It might hurt your feelings, but remember the doctor doesn't benefit from your weight loss, only you do. Try not to take it personally

Stretch marks fade over time, but they don't go away completely.

And I heard of a dietitian; I meet with one every month!!

You know what can work for stretch marks also is cocoa butter. Don't let doctors be jerks to you. You are the patient and they are there to serve you. Keep this in mind. Some are real dicks.
