2.7K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I bodybuild 5 days week for about an hour to an hour and a half and do MMA 3 days a week.
It usually goes something like this
Day 1 Chest ( Upper, Lower, Inner, Outer Chest )
Day 2 Shoulders/Traps ( Front, Rear Deltoid, Trapezes )
Day 3 Arms ( which is the Bicep, all 3 parts of the Tricep and Forearm )
Day 4 Back ( this would include my Upper, Middle, Lower Back and Lats )
Day 5 Legs ( Quadriceps, Hamstrings, Calves )
Each of the 3 exercises I do in each category is done at 3 sets of 6 reps at maximum weight level meaning that my weight is set so that I can not go past 6 reps at the 6th rep point I reach failure. And before each I workout I do 4 warm-up sets per body part to warm my body up to get the most out of my training.
Then in addition to my main workout above I supplement it with an hour of cardio total per week in 3, 20min sessions that switch between moderate and intense/max speed repeatedly throughout those 20mins I also do a pretty intense Ab workout Monday and Friday of Cable Crunches 3 sets of 10-12 reps followed immediately without rest to Hanging Leg Raises to failure then immediatly with no rest to Bicycle Crunches to failure then I rest for 3 minutes and repeat the whole workout again twice like that.00 Reply

+1 yYes I dedicate 2 hours everyday to exercise.
It's not just for vanity reasons, it makes me feel good and if I didn't exercise I would be depressed.
In my eyes it's compulsory. If one doesn't exercise you will certainly have greater health issues later in life. So fuck not exercising that would be stupid.04 Reply- +1 y
True. Now you're making me feel guilty
- +1 y
Yeah thats why i excercise too. Pretty bad derpression atm. Its better to excersize excessively than cut yourself.
- +1 y
@asker better you than me bro, I'm not letting that happen to my body thanks, I'm a wimp.
- +1 y
Exercise depresses me. I have to do it anyways, but it depresses me
+1 yOk I have one thing to add before I start: I majorly disagree with you saying that girls don't need to work out.
Ok then. I'm a runner. I love to run, but when I'm in the off-season its so hard to be motivated to run. But that's partly because I'm a baller haha :) I love basketball so much! So yeah, during the winter I do that...
I love the feeling after working out. Then you can go eat FOOD! Haha :)117 Reply- +1 y
Most girls, even those who don't work out, are attractive. Take sienna miller. She doesn't work out, and she is a good looking lady. Women naturally burn fat anyways (scientific fact)
You think most girls need to work out? - +1 y
Well no not really, but its harder for us to burn fat/calories.
- +1 y
Than men? I don't think so, but maybe that's true.
- +1 y
Most fit girls I know, actually just most cute girls I know, play a sport during part of the year, then laze around eating Cheetos and watching Netflix the rest of the year, and they look perfectly fine.
- +1 y
Haha google it! I just hear my mom complaining about it a lot to my dad
- +1 y
^ What dark humor said
- +1 y
@DarkHumorRUs yeah... that's me too sometimes... But if I don't exercise I feel like crap, so then I run or bike or something
- +1 y
I call myself the most lazy active person ever!
- +1 y
It just changes for person to person. Some guys, like my brother, just sit around all day too but he has a six pack and he looks like he could work out. I do the same things as him pretty much, yet I'm overweight and I have a fat stomach. I think it has to do with metabolism mostly.
- +1 y
or genetics
- +1 y
But me and my brother are brothers
- +1 y
Yeah, but you still have different genes
- +1 y
All I can say is that if I didn't exercise and if I didn't have this good of a metabolism and if I kept up my eating habits, I'd be fat. As of right now I'm 5'4 and 115lbs
- +1 y
weight doesn't mean anything. You could be all fat and weigh a little or all muscle and weigh a ton. Just depends really. It is more about how in shape you appear and are
- +1 y
As of right now I'm in shape, but not incredibly in shape you know? Like last fall I could run 2.5 miles in about 16 minutes but not now... I'm not in "running" shape anymore, I'm in "basketball" shape
- +1 y
So you're kinda out of shape and getting back into shape?
- +1 y
No I'm in shape overall, its just that if I had to run a race right now I wouldn't be able to go that fast because I'm used to starting and stopping, sprints, and shooting, not long distance running
In the summer I went to the gym every single day with my sister and I still go about 3-4 times a week. It's hard to want to go but I'm really happy with my body now that I go cuz I used to be insany skinny, now I'm Skinny but I have muscle plus I try to eat more so my body all in all looks better. It's not too thin anymore which is good
03 Reply- +1 y
that's good. Cardio, strength training, both?
- +1 y
That's good

I used to work out all the time back in high school (wrestling, running, lifting), but I haven't worked out in over a year due to a LOT of shit going on as well as stress eating. The fact that the "comfort food" I kept having when I was stress eating was cheap, processed bullshit didn't exactly help either.

+1 yI love to workout not only because its actually amazing to my body and health, but it actually makes my mood better, my stress go away, and it makes me feel happier above it all!
So get off your Tv & couches ppl! BE MORE ACTIVE for your future self xx.00 Reply
+1 yI don't workout, I'm trying to motivate myself to start cause I used to a bit, but I don't know I'd rather watch movies and browse the internet and eat popcorn.
03 Reply- +1 y
As would most of us, but working out is important. It doesn't matter how many people are out of shape in a survey; we'll still deal with the consequences for not being healthy
- +1 y
Yeah, except I've been trying to motivate myself for over a year now. I actually remember trying to convince myself to start working out by LAST Valentine's Day (2014) and it never happened. Well, I worked out for like a month this summer but that's it. That seems so long ago...
- +1 y
You don't have to like it you just have to do it. That's the way I see it
+1 yAlmost everyday! It can either be walking up hills to go sledding, or helping my dad with his firewood business ( pretty active) or going for a walk in the park.
06 Reply- +1 y
When you work out you are literally working I guess
- +1 y
Yes but I half to help my dad cut down trees, stack boxes of wood, stack wood, It gets me sweating in 20 degree weather.
- +1 y
Not a native californian, with 20 degrees whether I take it. Sounds fun though
- +1 y
I used to live in California but I grew up in Tennessee. Just moved back to Tennessee almost two months ago :) Definitely not used to the snow but I still enjoy it ^_^ people need there wood o:

True
I mostly just run and swim. My roommates think it is odd since they really only lift and do zero cardio. I also like to do pullups dips, and stomach but that is about it :S
07 Reply- +1 y
cardio is important though strength is as well
- +1 y
Really? I'm the opposite; I hate cardio--seems pretty pointless to me. I mean, I guess I do sets of 8 on squats sometimes if that counts as cardio.
- +1 y
I never said I didn't hate cardio, I just mean it is important and people should do it. 1000% I hate cardio, trust me
- +1 y
I know. It is good for you. That doesn't mean I have to like it though
532 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. I don't work out on a regular basis. I don't really work out at all. However, I do pretty much walk everywhere I go (except for to and from school, since that would take hours).
02 Reply- +1 y
I suppose walking is sufficient, but it doesn't replace a full workout:/

I work out regularly and then ill have periods where i dont work out for a week or... a bunch of weeks. But i eat pretty well!

Sports are a good way to get exercise, I think
323 opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. Ya I work out at least three times a week at a gym class that pretty much trains in crossfit. Lots of strength training and some cardio too
01 Reply- +1 y
how much you bench bro?
I used to hate exercise. Now I work out. I actually lift and when I hear that people don't lift I'm kinda surprised.
I'm a hypocrite.00 ReplyIn theory, 3-4 times per week, but lately it's been only 2.

00 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Health & Fitness topic. 5 Days a week, then the other 2 I'm working in the gym. So I lift every day, even if when I'm working I'm not lifting hard.

Opinion Owner+1 yby the way girls do need to work out, but being muscular isn't what makes girls hot, so I see your point.
Also, girls have much slower metabolisms and naturally carry more body fat- +1 y
I guess that counts for something, but every other day or week is better I think
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah I agree. I was working out three times a week at one point but I got so lazy.
- +1 y
gotta get back into the grind
Opinion Owner+1 yYeah, I was planning to! Worked out yesterday then came down with the flu last night. Fml

06 Reply- +1 y
Same thing really
- +1 y
No, training is different. Training has a long-term goal.
- +1 y
so does working out
- +1 y
No, not in the same way training does. Think about the difference between how an olympic sprinter exercises and an average guy who "works out" exercises. That is the difference between training and working out.
- +1 y
hardcore working out with a goal vs. training. What's the difference?
- +1 y
It's cool that you train though
