Meditation, specifically breathing meditation. Keep your spine straight and your head above it, sit in a quiet area and take nice, deep, slow breaths through your nose. Focus only on your breathing, at first your mind will seem to race, but it'll slowly calm down. Try to focus on your breathing for 10 to 20 minutes.
Also if you start to feel anxiety, don't try to distract yourself or ignore it, that just makes it worse. Let the thoughts come into your mind and let them dwell there. Embrace them and come to accept them for the anxiety that they are, you'll eventually get bored of them.
Realize that anxiety serves no practical purpose. All it does is make for an unpleasant experience.
You have to learn how to rationalize; anxiety has a way of making us assume the most ridiculous of circumstances will occur if we face our fears. You have to think ahead to everything that could happen as rationally as possible: what if I don't get the job? Well then I'll go home and apply somewhere else until I DO get a job. Things like this force you to have to plan and will chase away how unsure you are.

Breathing exercises work. And when I feel the anxiety coming on, I try talking myself into a calmer state.
When i get really nervous i push the "sharp" end of my keys towards my skin. It don't leave a mark nor it cuts you and it don't hurt at all. Just a nice pulsation in your hand. It helps me calm down and surprisingly helps with my motion sickness.
My freinds help me. I usually don't have anxiety though
do things that u find relaxing maybe?
