I found that exercise relieves a ton of stress and anxiety for me, and even provides a natural high afterwards if I pushed myself particularly hard in a workout session. Find a good hobby that takes up a lot of attention, it'll be more difficult to think about things that upset you. If religion helps, do that to.

Working out always does it for me. I do a long HIIT session on a spin bike or elliptical trainer. I listen to old 70's rock anthems (Won't get Fooled Again", Born To Run" "Fire And Rain") and really work myself up into a rage. I leave it all on the gym floor along with a nice puddle of sweat.
Ganja and green tea. Fuck pills.
