- Seek medical attention. (Binge eating can cause health problems such as obesity and such, and has been recognized as an eating disorder.)
- Tell family about your problem, like parents, so they can help monitor you. (Self monitoring when it comes to food is a one way road to disaster. We all know that cookie will not be the last one.)
- Eat whole, and healthy foods that will fill you up. (No snack foods that call for larger amounts, or phony dieting pills. A good whole diet means everything in being healthy.)
- Exercise, and/or occupy yourself with something productive. (Doing something productive, like finding a job/ doing volunteer work (can do either) and exercising will help you become fit, and fill you with a sense of accomplishment. Much better than sitting around, waiting for your next meal.)
- Be determined. (It doesn't matter if I give you all this information, it's if you have the determination to take initiative, and have patience. This won't happen over night, but don't give up.)
I'm rooting for you!

Binge eating is a challenging habit to break. But it's not impossible.
There are a few things you can do to avoid binge eating:
1) plan out your meals and snacks- know what you're going to consume for the day and only eat that. Make your meals and snacks ahead of time or prep them ahead of time
Okay first off, I lost over 60 pounds in the past over 6-7 months so I've done my fair share of studying and research. How to stop binge eating? Easy. Eat more often...
What? Yes. Eat 7-8 times a day, healthy snacks and meals high in fiber and protein and you won't want to binge eat anymore. You'll be stuffed with good foods and there won't be any room for the bad. Trust me. Been there and done that. If you keep binge eating, binge eat good foods instead of the bad. All you need is a bit of discipline.
Plan your diet. Don't ever 'wing it' with snacks. Make sure you have eaten a healthy and satisfying meal before working out (of course, not JUST before) so you aren't starving when you're done.
For snacks, ONLY fruit and.. nothing high in calories, and only a limited amount

Personally I stopped binged eating by replacing snack with things like coffee, tea, water with lemon (which is supposed to be the most effective) and drinking lot and lots of water.
Basically I think binge eating is mostly the body wanting to do something when bored, stressed, nervous etc. To counter this we tend to eat and indulge in something yummy. But the problem is the extra few kilos you put on...
So, by drinking liquids with low calories you can try to stop this. Also brushing your teeth after every meal, snack or so on helps since the taste of toothpaste takes away the desire to eat.
Its my personal experience and I found it quite useful! Besides, drinking plenty of water makes you lose weight even faster!
However, keeping a balanced diet is very important, so if you feel like you aren't eating well, perhaps you should consult your nutritionist.Only allow vega tables as a snack. You can only eat so much and, vegetables stop tasting good after your body has had enough plus even if you binge the calories don't add up to much. unlike chips or cake or donuts etc. There's no reward signal pleasure wise in overearing veggies unless it's salad soaked in like and salt.
So eat proper meals so you're not desperate by the time snack comes around, and only snack on vegetables you'll get so sick of snacking and or you'll get much more vitamins and minerals than currently. :)
Raw vegetables carrots peppers celery cucumber etc.Drink water. Something like 80% of people mistake thirst for hunger. Or eat an apple or something fresh (not junk food). Don't eat anything within 2 hours of going to bed. Try going for a walk after meals. Or drink a full glass of water before you eat so you fill up with water instead of food. There is always the option of having multiple small meals a day instead of 3 big ones. I don't follow a diet, but I am a picky eater. I never eat the fat off meat, I always cut around it. I also never get up at night and eat. Good luck!
First off, you're going to have junk food in your house because you shop for it obviously. Try to eat something before or right before you go shopping because if you're hungry you're likely to buy more food or junk food. Put all the healthy food at the front of your fridge or pantry, or if you have no junk food from when you went shopping-GREAT, even better! Instead of eating big meals, eat little snacks like a bowl of carrots and an hour later some nuts and dried fruit mix. Keep saying to yourself, "I can do this, this is worth it."
First drink the right amount of water for you , you're suppose to take your weight and cut it in half and that's how many ounces of water you should drink per day but If you exercise and sweating then drink more or if your thirsty drink more, or if you just want something to drink. Basically that number you get when you cut your weight in half is the normal amount. Anyways if you're properly hydrated you shouldn't feel the need to binge as often. Always keep just healthy food around so if you do binge it is on healthy food. Lastly I just would recommend eating more balanced and smaller meals through out the day so you don't feel the need to binge a ton in between a meal since your eating all through the day. It really isn't about calories or eating to much its about eating the right kinds of food and exercising and taking care of yourself so I wouldn't worry about it to much
understand why you're binge eating. It's not usually due t pschological issues and it's not about willpower either Not really

This lecture is a good introduction to the topicSimple tips.
1. Eat real, whole foods most of the time.
2. Eat when physically hungry.
3. Eat slowly (seriously, slow down).
4. Stop eating when satisfied but not stuffed.
5. Enjoy your favorite not-so-healthy foods when you truly crave them (approximately 10-20 percent of the time). For me bingeing is caused by three things:
Not enough sleep so I crave sugar
Not enough water so I mistake thirst as hunger
Letting myself get hungry between meals and not having a good breakfast.
Cut these three things and you will be fine. But seek help if you need it!!! Hope that helped 💜The reason people binge in a diet is because they denial themselves completely. (This is not sustainable in the long term). You rid yourself of all snacks, and can go days, or even weeks, and will than binge. This is not healthy. What is healthy is to maintain a balance in your life. Let yourself have one small snack a day. This should keep you on track on your new diet. Also know that even the best of us will fall off our diets, but the better ones will jump back onto it.
Throw out all your regular snacks. Chips, addictive food, and I don't know the junks.
chew gum when you have a urge of wanting to bit something and drink plenty of (cold) water.
Cold water because it digest slower. So you would feel more full.
If you want to snack something..
Light stuff can be snacked on.. (Ex: Salad, fruits, and nuts)I've never really dealt with binge eating, but I randomly had a good idea when I read this. Make a list of each thing you eat. You don't need to do anything with it. Just write it down. It could prevent the situation where you just eat without really realizing it.
I do this true, u can't give up the snacking.. So what I do is substitute my snacks. I like snacks that ate plentiful, so I'll choose chips like veggie straws and lentil chips where I can eat a large qty vs a brand that has a small qty to snack. If I have more I feel satisfied. Its a mental thing. I combine this type of mentality with all my main meals too. I go for lower calorie foods, high fiber. Thus and some weightlifting is a good combination for weight loss.
Go on a 3 day cycle. What i mean by that is, set a goal for just 3 days to diet. Obviously ur going to want to diet for about 90 days but just aim to go for 3. Then when u complete that, aim for another three and so on. The problem with dieting is u feel like u can't do this forever so u give up easily. Also i know it sounds silly but try to get over the attachment u have with food, instead of taste think of it as fuel.
its all about self discipline and will power so i would suggest drink water sometimes the body isn't hungry sometimes its just dehydrated i would keep busy go for a jog visit friends green tea helps with appetite try playing some type of sport just keep busy best of luck
-Don't have unhealthy processed snacks in your house.
-When you feel bad, try to understand why you feel that way. They try to solve the problem.
-Occupy yourself with something else for 15 minutes. Then the urge will go away.
-Don't restict your calories too much, don't overexercise and don't follow fad diets.
-Eat only when you're hungry.Ending an addiction is very hard, it comes to life and you alone can't stop it.
The only way to cut your hunger down is to eat the things you don't like.
And only eat the things you don't like, make food unappealing and continue that for the rest of your life. This will keep your hunger at bay. It's a bad habit of mine too but here are a few things that help.
1. Have discipline when you're grocery shopping. Don't even bring the terrible stuff home.
2. Look for times when it usually hits you and make sure you're busy
3. Eat and have healthy snacks available and be consistent if possible
4. Give yourself a daily cutoff time for food
5. When cravings start always make yourself drink a glass of water first.
6. Chew gum!Chew ice cubes, brush your teeth when you are about to eat, drink 1 l of water when you're about to eat, go out for a walk and don't take food or money with you, take a selfie of your body to remind yourself why you're breaking the habit, go to the mall and try on a pair of jeans you know will be a size too small, or make a cup of green tea
Do you start binge eating because you set your daily calorie intake way below than what you should eat to keep your current weight.. like 800 calories a day? Then bingeing is just your body telling you to eat more.. and it might stop once you eat 1600 a day that could still be below what you can eat to keep your current weight.
You really just have to keep yourself busy, it can be anything you like.
Try something new like a sport or maybe something intellectual like reading... up to you.
