Yeah sure you can run 70 miles and yeah it'll burn fat quickly because you're running but make sure the running isn't too fast if you get tired you can slow down your running or just walk. Make sure you go at your pace.
Fat burns quicker the faster you go. So being consistent and always upping your game will help immensely.
About the 70 miles per week - I can't tell you that specifically, but it sure will help.
If you run that many miles per week you will not only burn fat but be in very good shape and build strong legs and cardio. Just stay hydrated and don't get too hot.
jump rope is an excellent option as well, go for 1 hour if you have to, you'll be dead by the end. 70 miles should be good.
