Are thigh gaps something important?

I've been looking through Twitter that so many girls are obsessed with that. Also I got some rude comments about that I am an overweighted girl.
I think it's bullshit, but even some guys told me things like that.
What do you think?

Thigh gaps are not sexy and perfect but they're not stupid and unhealthy either, People go wrong by thinking that to have a thigh gap you must be starving yourself or doing something that is unhealthy to your body to have this "magical" gap between your thighs but some people naturally have a thigh gap without starving themselves and without doing anything harmful to themselves, its really not about how much you eat or how little you eat its down to your pelvic structure on whether a person will have a thigh gap, someone with a wider pelvic area will more likely have a thigh gap than someone who doesn't have a wider pelvic area, someone with wider hips will be more likely to have a thigh gap compared to someone who doesn't have wide hips. So saying that thigh gaps are stupid and unhealthy is kinda harsh considering someone cannot change how their bone structure is however i do agree for it being stupid and unhealthy if someone is going to drastic measures to make themselves have a thigh gap

I said that there were stupid and unhealty because most of the girls that said me thise things were proana, promia twitter accounts. I didn't know that bone structure is a factor to have a thigh gap. Woah, I learned something new! Haha :)

I can't remember a single time I actually gave a flying fuck about a girl having a thigh gap. They aren't stupid or unhealthy, some women just naturally with their frames have them, even if they aren't skinny. However, it doesn't matter a single bit, sort of like back dimples. Paying attention to a thigh gap is like observing a whole tree instead of a whole forest.
