If you can't go to a gym, you'll have to make due at home.
Personally, what I would do for exercise is to get running shoes. Then run around the neighborhood in the mornings or run with friends. After a running workout, do some ab/arm workouts at home (pushups, planks, squats, lunges, crunches, situps, etc.) to work on your core.
That will build up body and tone up your body without giving you the bulk from lifting weights and getting the bigger less defined type of muscle.
Along with exercise, I would also have a diet going on. For starters, start getting yourself off soda/fast food/fried and greasy food. Eat regularly to get your calories, but try not to overeat. Portion control is good, just don't be worried about taking it fast that you skip meals. That will actually make you lose weight slower.

There is no healthy way to lose weight fast. If you are just worried about weight It is all about calories in vs calories used up. look up the “Harris Bededict equation” it will help you calculate how much you need to burn on an average day and how much you need to take in without doing any damage to your body.
