Fitness people out there ! Any advice?

Hi everyone!
So, all my life I've been a skinny thin short girl, a year ago I was like underweight and now, I believe, My weight is just fine because the past year i didn't have a very healthy diet and I ate everything, also I had a better physical condition
Now I get tired if I go upstairs running, an example.
But the year is starting and I do want to be a healthy person, not because I want everyone to look at me and say "gosh she is so skinny and toned" but because I want to look in the mirror and be proud of what I'm looking and also because I want to have this beautiful fitness lifestyle
and I don't want to be thin and skinny again by starving myself and/or becoming anorexic or bulimic (because I had bulimia), I want to eat the right things, to workout the right things, and to give my body a better maintenance
So, I was wondering if you could give me any advice on how to get started, to keep going, what to eat, which workout should I do... Whatever advice or "tips & tricks" you can give me, I will be truly thankful with you !
