Is the mental health the same? Like it just hits you or people choose those thoughts somehow?
Is mental illness real?

Is the mental health the same? Like it just hits you or people choose those thoughts somehow?
Mental illness is definitely a real thing, that is not addressed like it should be largely because there are very few long term facilities and unfortunately for the patients a lack of insurance. Sometimes the problem is a chemical imbalance, your brain has neurotransmitters that aren't getting there correctly, environment plays a role, genetics, PTSD-sometimes it's your mind's defense mechanism. Another big problem is that things like depression/bipolar/anxiety are grossly over diagnosed. These people are pumped full of meds and never learn to deal, feel, and move on in a healthy mental state. Drug and alcohol abuse can also cause long term mental illness. Children who are born addicted to drugs or alcohol are more likely to develop mental illness. Anyway, it's very real and I'm getting carried away 😜
Mental illness is very real. I have depression and an anxiety disorder and there are days that I can't even find the energy to feed myself or get out of bed in the morning.
I am sorry for this dear
No problem darling
Well Mental health is real, depression is a seriouse issue, so is Shitzophrenia, so is every other mental disorders, I have no expirience with any mental illness other then Depression, and OCD, but OCD is a disorder so I dont think that's what it mean, but Depression happened, cuz I pretty much hate myself, because of mistakes I've made, and bullying, and because I also feel like everyone I care about's problems are at least somewhat my fault, so that's how I developed depression OCD, is something you're born with
Mental illness is just like the flu except it affects the brain's functions rather than manifesting in a physical way. Instead of getting it from something actually breaking your brain, like a bat to the side of the head, many mental illnesses like depression are caused by traumatic events that harm the mind like the loss of a loved one or stress.
there are physical processes in the brain, mental illness is a legitimate illness. but obviously how one addresses their thoughts and feelings is still just as important as it is for the "mentally well", but that requires help and love and can't just be expected to sort it's self out

No one chooses to be mentally ill you're either born with it from the beginning or developed it in the future due to anything from a car accident to a tumor and it can also be genetic.
No one wants to be that way or forces it upon their self it's just the way their brain works.
Oh yes. I absolutely choose to feel like my heart is going to pound out of my chest. I love feeling like I'm about to die. I love not being able to think straight because I'm so afraid. I love having jitters. I love feeling like I'm outside of my body. I love feeling helpless.
I was just asking
I am just asking to know , that's why it's a question
I didn't insult anyone I am asking to know the truth of it , it like insulting relgious people by asking is there a god or not , the fuck?
To suggest that people are lying about their mental illness is to belittle the seriousness of their condition and then to act like they're making it all up for attention is just plain ignorant. I hope you never have a child or a partner with a mental illness because you won't believe they're truly suffering and you will worsen their condition.
I didn't say they are lying but you always seem so angry and assume things out of your own mind so peace out
Well you can't compare mental illness to a flu lol Having the flu is just a virus that you have within the body and is just general sickness which goes away with several days. (But I good part of me thinks you were just using that as an example)
Yes, mental illnesses are real. They're as real as real can be. Unfortunately you just get them. It's something you can't control. They can be treated, but most of the time it can take years and years to cure it.
This has to be a troll question. If it's not then god damn *facepalm*
I didn't mean like " real " it's like made up or something like that I really can't find the word for it
What you just said didn't make any sense at all.
Though it sounds like your saying a mental illness is made up.
I'm just assuming English isn't your first language. If it is you need to work on it since your not making to much sense.
Yes not my first language it's my third language , I meant like people have thoughts in their head ( so this thought does come out of nowhere or people force it to themselves ) I mean flu you get it just like that , is the mental illness the same I really don't know
Nope a mental illness is something your born with. Some mental illnesses are worse than others. There is no cure for it at all. With the flu there is a cure you just take medication and then the flu is gone and out of your system. With mental illnesses your brain is built differently so you experience everything differently. though yes somethings you say and do. You could work at fixing it. Though majority of the time you can't fix anything. All you can do is just make it manageable.
Think of it like if your physically handicapped. Like if you are in a wheel chair. Your not able to live like everyone else. Your stuck trying to get things done while having trouble moving around.
A mental illness is kind of like that. Though you can physically see the handicap that it causes. Still it's there and they can't function to well in every day life. Since nobody can see what the person is experiencing most can't relate to them at all.
Mental illness is real. I don't be live you are born with it because the brain rewire in 13 months and a mental illness is all wiring. All mental illnesses can be cured, a lot of natural healers or scientist have actually proved it but they go missing or have a freak accident after coming out about it.
Yes, some people do suffer from mental illness, however I do believe most use it as a reason to act certain ways. The hard part is identifying whether or not someone truly does have a mental illness.
People can be born fucked up. That's a sad fact. People can be born into mental illness. Most mental illnesses manifests themselves from a young age with the exception of someone who something traumatic happened to and that damaged them mentally.
Mental illness can be cured, but with help of a really good physiologist.
For those who have mental illness usually suffer heavy critique from classmates or friends and family.
You're usually born with it or it's caused by some serious trauma. It is very real though. It doesn't just hit you though. You don't wake up one day out of the blue with a mental illness.
Yep, but mental illnesses are usually more complicated - it's affected by your life, circumstances, how you cope with stress etc
It's definitely a real thing. I believe that some people are born with it and with some people it can happen over time
Thats the final straw.

Yes it's real. There are also mental disorders like depression. And I guess depending on the severity of it, it can also become a mental disease.
Most are born with it as it is passed down through genetics. A life event can cause it. Not to mention drug abuse and mess up your head too.
Yes. It's genetically preexisting but can be brought out by trauma. It's hellish to live with and absolutely real.
It's an imbalance in brain chemistry, and in some cases, structural differences in the brain, like in schizophrenia...
Of course it's real
It's like a ghost that tells your mind fuck you over and over til you don't get out of bed or worse
Have you actually ever tried choosing your thoughts? Not so easy, is it? Yes, mental illness is real. Think of it as flu in the brain.
as someone who has had mental health problems since I was a boy I can tell you mental illness is very real.
Getting nailed into a bread drawer full of spiders in the fetal position wasn't a choice...
