The longest I've ever taken was 5 days when I was on vacation.
What's the longest amount of time you've taken off from working out?

Depends what one considers working out. Unless I'm pretty much dead, I'll walk for at least two hours a day, and do 20 minutes of standing meditation. I usually alternative by doing something more strenuous one day, less so the next, etc. But when I have an injury or I know I need to rest something, or when I want to progress on something (such as pullups), that's when I get really pissed off and impatient :D
One week. Yeah I know how you feel. It also feels like you're getting weaker. But I've learned that's all in the head because I can come back from a week of just sitting around and still lift the same amount before I took a break. I think it takes a little longer before you start losing your progress.
Like a week or so.
Why? Tbh I can't even really tell you why. Sometimes when I was at school i would just get in a rut and not even wanna get out of bed or go to class. Obviously, that meant I barely worked out. just a lot of stress and sadness and feeling lonely and it just got to me.
Got my shit together soon after lol
Holy shit I just had a few days like that!! Skipped class Thursday literally for no reason at all. I've been down too but isk why.. It's weird
I travel a lot so whenever I'm traveling I usually don't exercise, it's usually between weeks then but I also walk more when I'm travelling so I suppose my calorie deficit stays the same.

hard to say Iv taken over a year off from going to the gym but i do a few different kinds of enhanced push ups and things like pistols and plank its when i feel like it rather than a training schedule though also things like splitting wood emptying the gutters and moving furniture so my fitness remains ok even if it's declined a bit.
I've taken 2 weeks off and usually do each year at the end of December, but I have logged in from home to check e-mails and do a little work.
No no no haha working out
Funny you ask that, as I keep saying tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow and now its been almost two weeks. I'm stick in a rut. The damn internet is making me lazy!!
Are you really 46? You look way younger
Stuck
Yep, my bday was last Saturday. I didn't mind turning 45, but 46 bothers the f*** out of me because its close to 50!!
@cavmanier thanks!
If you don't work out for a few days, even a week, don't worry. After that you will feel an intense energy because your body fully recovered. And if on holiday, you can always do some things even without a gym. I wrote a myTake about it.
Currently it's been a week die to injury. But technically I didn't stop working out completely.
What happened?
Tendonitis in my foot. So I'm not doing high impact stuff.
Ahh that sucks. I'm sorry. Hope it heals fast!
Thanks!
I go through bouts where I run 3-5 days a week for like a month or so and then I stop running for a couple weeks to a month.
Lather, rinse, repeat.
I had surgery and was forced take off a month... still getting back in shape now!
I really missed working out. I hated feeling flabby!
I'm not allowed to work out anymore because of my eating disorder so it's been about... 5 years since I stopped working out and training. It's shitty
It was two weeks due to an injury I got. After that I went back to the gym and did some exercises to strengthen the injured muscle and everything was fine =)
My whole life.
I am a very active person so I think of that as my "exercise".
Had to take six weeks off from the gym when I had surgery last year. It was quite frustrating.
had surgery, off for few months. love working out..
About 2 weeks, but it was because of an injury... I felt so lazy not doing anything lol
used to workout all the time, but now I got a physical labor job and literally gassed most days, wish I could workout lol
I just started getting tendonitis in my elbows, so I'm not allowed to exercise for like 6 weeks :/
Umm I stopped working out for a long time... I was really depressed. Now that I'm working on myself and trying to better myself I can't go more than one day I feel weird.
I don't exercise, because I'm too lazy. I keep my weight down through healthy diet, which works rather well for me.
I've been working our for 3 months and to be honest I feel much happier and have more confidence.. and my condition is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better. I dont even have cramps in my stomach after running
Probably only a week or two. But now I'm starting to jog every morning, and my diet has changed drastically, so I should be back to my old self soon.
A few weeks. Either because I was sick or on vacation
