Why does my boyfriend like watching me exercise?

I've recently taken up yoga and like using our shared elliptical. He always asks if I'm working out and if he can watch me while I do it. I usually say no because I'm self-conscious and he's also really athletic so I feel like my workouts are pretty lame compared to what he does lol :) Anyway, he still likes poking his head in the door and sometimes when I'm really into I don't even notice and he gets such a kick out of it and just always looks amused/endeared by it. I guess I'm wondering why he does this? I did ask him why he does it and he smiled and said that I look "cute" doing it. I don't really mind it but I don't understand the appeal because I usually just feel sweaty and gross afterwards lol. Guys, do you like watching your girlfriend working out/exercising? What's attractive/appealing about it? Girls, do you mind when a guy watches you work out or even helps you with it? Thanks in advance! :)
