Why are people more intimidated by muscular guys than by fat guys?

I never got why people act like just because a guy is full of fat that makes him less capable of equally dominating a man who weighs less.

Because a common motive for getting all muscular is to appear intimidating, or even to be able to use their strength for violence, to bully other people around or beat people up. At the very least, muscular guys often have something to prove. Not saying this is always the case, or even usually, but often enough to make others think that.
