Would switching to water cause this weight loss?

So I think I may have found a solution to my obesity. I know I should work out too but whatever.

I figure I intake 3000-5000+ calories a week in liquids(soda, slushees, juice, milk, etc).

That's 156,000-260,000 calories a year. So based on 3500 calories being a pound. That's about 40-80lbs

If I switch to strictly water I'm thinking that would cut out all that weight.

Which would be my at least half of my entire weight loss goal from changing what I drink. I'm 270lbs at 5'8" my goal is 70lbs. Still overweight but no where near as bad.

Am I right in thinking I would lose weight by doing that? Also would it actually be that much? If I can lose that much weight just drinking water I'll give up my love of flavored drinks.
