I'm no expert, but I doubt the transition from male-to-female itself results in much or any decrease of the muscle gained prior to the beginning of said transition--which males gain easier than females due to testosterone levels. Unless decrements in testosterone alone have substantial impact on preexisting muscle mass, any muscle loss would have to be voluntary, I presume (via diet/deliberate deprivation of protein).
Due to them just being inherently different from females, best not to throw them in matches categorized as "women only" because it'll just complicate stats in my opinion.
