I don't think I have any friends anymore..

My two bestfriends (lets just call them sue and cindy) have basically lost all contact with me, I tried texting them yesterday and for the past two days and I got no replies. Sue texted me Christmas day saying "Merry Christmas" but that's basically it. I haven't seen them since December 17th and neither of them bothered to even call me for the past two weeks. I wrote on Cindy's facebook wall and another of her friends wrote on it too, Cindy didn't reply to my wallpost, but replied to the other friend. They both got gym memberships for Christmas and have been going to the gym with each other everyday for the past week. I texted Sue today asking if we were going to hangout any point soon and the reply I got back was "umm.. idk" and she never replied back to what I said.

I never made many friends in highschool, I made friends with some people but I didn't fit in with them because they were always partying and drinking and I'm not into that. I feel that my only friend is my boyfriend and I'm losing my "best friends", they don't even act like my friends anymore, they never tell me anything and always have inside jokes with each other excluding me

Sorry to hear that =/ The only thing I can really say is to forget them and make new friends. Think about it, do you really want friends who will treat you like that? Maybe it's just a 'phase' they're going through right now and they'll 'go back' to you but if they've done it once, they'll probably do it again and you'll just be hurt again. Maybe join a club or meetup that have interests similar to yours, that way you can find people that you fit in with.

You've already tried talking to them about it and they're not really receptive. I know it's hard to just ditch and forget your friends but if they're not treating you right, you should probably think of finding other people. Good luck. You'll find other people, I'm positive =)

Also whenever we make plans and something happens to come up and I cancel they freak out on me, but if they cancel I don't do anything about it. I'm pretty sure they're taking advantage of me and taking our friendship for granted.

Sure no problem. It does sound like they're taking advantage of you. Just move on and carry on your life without worrying too much about them. If anything, they'll start wondering what's up with you and start coming after you and the tables will be turned :P

Are you sure you didn't do anything to upset them right before you guys last saw each other? If not, I agree with everyone's advice that you did your part and you should wait to see if they reciprocate. If they are sincere about it and have good reasons for why they did not get in touch with you, then you should forgive them and move on. If they continue acting the way they have been, then get out there and find some new friends! I admire you for not drinking and all! Keep it up! =)

I know how you feel. In high school I was never the type to go out drinking and partying with people. That's good that you aren't just following the crowd! As far as Cindy and Sue go you've tried your best to keep in touch with them and they for whatever reason aren't putting in the effort back. You know what you do? Hang out with some new people! It's never easy but try asking people who you talk to what they're doing and try and make plans with them. The ones that do drink and party make plans with them before they decide to go out and drink. If they ask you to come with tell them it's not your thing.

My parents always told me to try and branch out just incase something happens between me and my friends.. I kinda wish I took their advice. I want to just lose all contact with my best friends and see if they make an effort to talk to me, but I'm afraid that either they won't respond at all or a whole bunch of drama will go down. Last time I tried doing that (about two months ago) they snapped on me saying I make no effort to be their friend when in reality its them..

I go home for lunch to Sue's house everyday with her and Cindy at school and I don't even go anymore because going there feels like a chore, but its the only time I ever see them anymore.

I don't want to lose them because first, they're the only friends I have, and second I've been friends with them for about 6 years now.. But I think I'm going to try your idea. thanks

I know but see people change. And its sad but that's life. Or you can tell them that you really want to be friends with them and hang out like before and ask them what is up with the new change but honestly, I don't think it's worth it, the don't care in my opinion . I may be wrong but yeah
