I have the same dreams every night
I'm running through a forest with the girl of my dreams
Running from the shadows
From what's in the shadows
I trip and fall
She keeps running
I call and she looks, but keeps running
I can't get up, it's coming to fast
I trip again
I'm alone now
In the darkness
Sitting against a tree
I know it's next to me
But it's too dark to see
I feel like I've been stabbed
I wake up
Every time, it's always the same
Every night
Every time I shut my eyes
I don't mind the darkness, and the shadows, and what's in them
And the feeling of being stabbed
But every time she keeps running without me, it breaks my heart over and over again
It's unbearable

If it's a reoccurring nightmare then it could be any number of things;
1) change in diet
2) some deep feeling/instinct in your subconsciousness
3) brain tumour
4) some physical problem in another area of your body.
Id say the best course is to see a doctor, they can take some blood and run tests which may hopefully find the route of your problem.
I've been having a TON of nightmares lately. Like practically every night.
I usually have lots of dreams, but it's always been a mix of good and bad, and more often they're good. So I don't know why suddenly for the past couple of weeks I've been having non-stop nightmares... but I'm hoping they'll go away soon. I don't mind having dreams but I hate waking up scared and upset and stuff.
Oh, and I've heard that if you're cold when you fall asleep, you're more likely to have nightmares. I don't know if it's true or not though.
mine are just like yours, my parents keep telling me to go to the doctor because they can actually diagnose you with haveing "chronic nightmares" I guess, there are medications you can take that will help you sleep if it's messing with your sleep and day to day life. I told my parents I'd go if it got to where I couldn't sleep. but I understand what you mean about lucid dreaming, it just changes to another dream when you thought you had woken up, just gets twice as bad. I hope I helped.

Gee, this sounds like Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland film theme ...
Seriously, you might try an Alka-Seltzer about an hour prior to bedtime or Pepto-Bismol - even though that might sound strange.
If that doesn't do it, you might also get something stronger, non-additive prescription for a very low dose of
Amitriptyline
if your doc thinks this best. That's actually good news. Nightmares can cause your subconscious to grant you the ability to lucid dream, or at least that's what happened to me. Whenever some nightmarish thing happens to you, try to remember you're dreaming, then you're able to fix it.
Awe I'm sorry you have nightmares every night! I hate having scary dreams. :/
There's obviously something in your waking life that's getting to your subconscious. I don't know if you believe in dream interpretation, but I do. And this site is one of the best- link
You'll want to look up key things (like you seeing a cat in your dream, you in a pool, whatever).I rarely v nightmares and they aren't really terrifying, well I guess this can help a bit link
Did you recently have a traumatic experience? That seems to be the start of nightmares. Basically deeply rooted fears that manifest the mind at night.
are you going through any changes in your life? stress? are you worried about something?
I tend to have a lot of nightmares when I'm stressed out about something.
