I have been this guy's friend for more than a year. He is now divorced. We teach together. All the high school students think we are a couple. We do a lot of stuff together but it is always at the last minute, it is nothing too formal.Sometimes it is with a group of his friends. I am on a strict diet to get back into a bikini so I am drinking no alcohol whatsoever. He used to like inviting me out to bars to sit with him. We both have liked each other forever, so much that his wife called and threatened me. Nothing has happened, I have not even kissed the guy. At this point I think he needs to grow up and invite me out to do something a bit more romantic, and alone. Does that make sense? Am I being too much of a bitch and expecting too much?
Of course remain his friend.
If you want to spice things up and you are his friend, you'll plan something both of you will enjoy now that he's divorced ... unless he's afraid the ex will find out and he's trying to back into her house.
Recently divorced men need alcohol more than a cute blond in a bikini right now. Next summer gives you more time to shed pounds in a healthy way, better chance to keep them off. He'll be drinking less next year as well.
