When I hear Alabama I think about, racists, hate groups, over religious people, polio, intolerance, cotton, low payed workers and huge income disparity. A lot of other things as well but they are too many.
Some good things include Southern weather, food... and that's about it.

Also, I remember seeing a sign on a convenient store once that legal age to buy cigarettes in Alabama was 19. I found it odd. That's about all I remember about Alabama.

Lmao! Actually I live right by Alabama in Georgia and I think Alabama is alright but nothing special. As far as shoot raccoons and live in trailers, why would you be irritated by something like that. I would say yeah but that does mean I do. Ha ha! But it would be really funny if you did...

Believe me, every place has a negative stereotype conceived by people who've never been through that place.
Alabama holds a great deal of mystique and charm in my mind. Then there's Sweet Home Alabama, just an iconic song.
