first they said the vaccine will protect you and others indefinitely. now it apparently doesn't protect others at all and barely protects yourself.
then they said it's probably smart to take 2 shots to improve protection. then they said you need a booster every year. then every half year and now they say, that the booster might alredy be completely uneffective after only 3 months. and even then you can still get the disease, still infect others with the exact same probability as if you were not vaccined and you only have a marginally lower risk of having a serious case, that wasn't very high to begin with...
and somehow the unvaccinated are blamed for the infection rates still being so high?None of this makes any sense.what else has to happen untill you finally realize you're being scammed?

The vaccine is not, and never was, intended to stop you catching Covid. It is to reduce the severity of the symptoms, and hopefully stop you dying if you are unlucky enough to catch it. It's damage limitation, not a preventative. I though everyone knew that. Obviously not. Duh...
well you know in this day and age you can really easily go back and see the news from these days and confirm that this is actually exactly what they claimed the vaccine would do in the media. and so many people continue to say this is true even though even the media admitts that it's not...
if it's damage limitation, it's not a vaccine. vaccines make you immune.
also: the chance of dying "to" (not with) covid are extremely low. so low in fact, that the benefit from the vaccine is negligible and the side effects become relevant, if you're under 70.
specially if you consider that they want us to take this jab 4 times a year now, cause it's apparently only effective for 3 months. and with 1 in 5000 people having deadly adverse reactions, this is a very simple numbers game. it's better to just get covid, cause after that, you have a solid immunity for probably at least 2 years.

I knew it was a fraud as they came out. You can't trust anything produced in 6 hours. No way did they test it enough. I think each version of Covid will spread easier and faster , but be less dangerous. Soon it will be no more than a normal cold virus. Then China will send US another mixed bag bio weapon and it will kill millions and then water down like Covid.
I got one to "protect" my mother. But I'm also pretty sure I had covid in December 2019. I know 10 people that currently have it. Of the 10 people, SIX of them are vaccinated.
yeah. i understand that. this was the narrative they told us. you need to show solidarity and protect others... if only they told the truth. luckily, i was never sick in 4 years... so i never really had to protect my family. and if i was sick, i could just distance, cause i live alone and they don't depend on me.

Viruses are much more difficult to target vaccines against compared to bacteria. Look at the influenza vaccine for example. It is roughly 50% effective (when the targeted strains are correct) in preventing symptomatic illness. The other 50% of vaccinated people who get influenza generally have an attenuated illness (speaking from experience of seeing a large sample size over years as well as studies supporting that assertion. 3. How can you expect the scientists that saw their culmination of decades of research into mRNA vaccines succeed in the nick of time to know the dosing of the vaccine or how long the vaccine would be effective for given the virus only made the jump to humans 2 years ago? And for your information the vaccine was extremely effective in preventing earlier strains of covid-19 4-5 months post vaccination. One study of health care workers showed from last May found the rate of infection among vaccinated to be around 0.02% whereas it was 2-4% in unvaccinated. 4. The delta surge was largely a pandemic of the unvaccinated with very little breakthrough for patients younger than retirement age. 5. Omicron is a different beast, although even one recent study among nursing home residents showed those that were boosted had much lower rates of infection compared to unvaccinated or those who received their vaccines nearly a year ago. 6. If everyone had gotten vaccinated in a timely manner there would be a lot fewer hosts to infect, lower infection rates, and less spread to those who cannot tolerate the virus for whatever reason and suffer more severe disease and less opportunity for the virus to mutate. 7. I've seen many people who have had the natural infection more than once at this point. 9. The fact that you have never been sick in 4 years has nothing to do with any of this. Plenty of people go several years without a significant symptomatic viral illness. But given we are exposed to 1 million viruses everyday (pre social distancing, etc) and get sick 2-3 times per year on average throughout our lifetime with some periods being much more concentrated than others. Maybe it is because people can't tolerate being around someone who is so opinionated and spouting misinformation that you do not have the chance to catch the viruses they may have. Many viruses our body fights off quickly before you can confirm you are sick. Others dig their heals in. Eight percent of our DNA is viral over the eons of evolution and to think that viruses don't cause their own harm to humans, likely contributing to chronic diseases through associations we are yet unaware of, not to mention long covid etc, is super misguided. 10. One of the respondents is correct in that you are a liar. Get your shit together. Statistics tell you the opposite. Of course it's not 100% but everyone knew that before 🤷♀️ even if you still spread it, it greatly decreases the risk of ending up in hospital.
And if everyone would have gotten vaccinated ASAP and also in poorer countries then there would be less mutations. You need a new flu shot every year too, you also don't take that one because it will not work anymore later?
well statistics tell me that i have a roughly 0.2% chance of dying to covid and the vaccine manages to reduce that to apparently 0.04%. big deal. also not really saying much since the sample size they had for that claim is 200 people.
if you think that getting the vaccine slows down mutations, you are out of your mind. actually the CDC and WHO say that vaccines in case of fast evolving viruses with animal reservoires (like influenza and corona) are actually sped up by vaccines, not slowed down.

@genericname85 and also BS. Because you know how many stories there have been about people with natural immunity being spreaders of covid? None. How many stories of reinfection? None. The CDC has no record of any recovered person spreading covid to someone after they've recovered.
They've also just announced that PCR tests can give false positives up to 12 weeks after you've recovered from Covid. So that instantly discredits any study that says reinfection is possible.

it's funny that even the cdc said in the beginning, that masks are actually increasing the risk throug reduced hygiene and frequent touching of face and mouth area... that was probably before they realized that the mask are the ultimate symbol to induce a global mass hysteria, that would give them infinite power.
there's one argument my mom always mentions that i agree with. society is sick. we go to work when we're sick. we infect others cause we don't stay at home anymore. this is the one thing that positively changed. but of course we're massively overdoing it now -.-
True, but being around sick people is what keeps our immune system working out. I get what you're saying and for something like Covid -I agree with staying home if you're sick. I did it when I had covid and stayed away from my family.
